However, according to my 17 years of working experience, I think my personality is different, but those who grow up quickly will have one thing in common. This is an invariable fact.

Two newcomers with different styles

Not long ago, I had lunch with a younger generation from other departments. During the dinner, she talked with me excitedly about the newcomers in the Department.

One day, the team leader of the German R & D department (Research & development, because the company handles business in English, so the Department names are also abbreviated in English) invited them to attend a meeting on the "Brown mixer" new product. So the younger generation took two newcomers to the meeting. Frankly, the whole meeting went badly. Because the German team leader in charge of the meeting didn't make enough preparations for the meeting. So the meeting lasted more than two hours, but no conclusion was reached. The issue of increased costs due to the improved performance of new products was mentioned at the meeting. When the cost issue was to be discussed, the person from the finance department who could not be absent did not attend the meeting. Therefore, all participants felt that this was a waste of time. After the meeting, the younger generation rubbed his stiff shoulders and walked out of the meeting room. Then he asked the two newcomers how they felt. After listening, the younger generation secretly compared the two people in their hearts. Obviously, the second person observed more than the first person during the meeting. Because the second person's opinions on the meeting are more specific and exploratory.

If you were a newcomer, how would you answer this question in this case? In two people, the one who can give people a sense of trust often looks more calm. Under exactly the same circumstances, the differences between people who are good at independent thinking and people who are not good at independent thinking are clearly revealed.

If I were a team leader

In fact, when you first enter a company, the company will not give you a lot of work. And most things also have relevant instruction manuals and processes, which you can complete as long as you follow. Many of our staff are university graduates, and even some have master's degrees. When they are assigned to do these simple jobs, many people will feel surprised in their hearts.

However, there is a magical fact: even the same work will get different results because of the differences of people who do things. If you want to ask why, I think this difference comes from the difference in everyone's ability to think independently.

The function of independent thinking is transposition thinking, which will assume "if it's me...".

Suppose: "if I were the head of the team, how should I deal with such a thing?" "If I were to make a business plan, what would I add or delete?" Wait. After thinking this way, we will no longer feel that what is happening around us is only the affairs of others and say something irrelevant.

And the ability to think in this way can cultivate your "problem-solving ability". In fact, the so-called "problem-solving ability" is not difficult, but the power to try your best to get the answer to the problem under the current situation. Those who, because they have encountered similar problems in the past, deal with them according to the past methods, or in case of emergency, do not think more and say what to do first, can not have greater development than ordinary people. Such things will happen again and again in a month or two, or even in a few years. The development of two people with different treatment methods will quickly widen the gap with the accumulation of time.

I prefer people who can turn what I taught him into their own. I don't think it's just me. Most bosses should like such people. Of course, we all know that in the beginning, newcomers can't do many things. I was like that at the beginning. I made many mistakes and was scolded by my boss. However, if you can't learn before entering the company for three years, it's difficult to have good learning opportunities later. To put it more tragically, by the time we have worked for five to six years, we have almost no learning opportunities. Because at that time, you will be afraid that others will say "why don't you even know this" and so on, and you are too sensitive to ask people easily.

When reading, if we can understand what the teacher teaches thoroughly, we won't have too many difficulties in the exam. Similarly, for the content of senior guidance, we should turn it into our own thing before the end of the business. Ask if you don't understand! If you don't understand, ask again! Because in the new period, even if your questions are absurd and unreasonable, the other party will only smile, understand that you are a new person and explain them to you patiently.

Your immediate predecessors must have experienced your problems, so they can tell you the most practical solutions. Therefore, when newcomers enter the company, they must strive to have a good relationship with their predecessors, so that they can get a lot of secrets from them. When you get the help of your predecessors, you must have an eye and buy a cup of coffee to thank him or other small gifts. In fact, it's not so difficult to be smart and likable.
