I have to admit, one of my many New Year's Resolutions for this year was to be more productive & stop procrastinating. But that's not just my situation. Many other people also go through this EVERYDAY, to an extent where getting work done seems nearly impossible.

In the absolute nick of time, I was able to find these 8 productivity hacks that are LIFE-CHANGING. I garuntee that once you put some of these to the test, you'll see some differences in your routine almost immidiately.

1. Listening to Music

Music is a great way to get your focus on track while studying or completing assignments. Meditative music has witnessed a real increase in views over the past few years, as more & more people have gotten to know about this unique productivity tip. This hack has actually been backed up by scientists, who claim that those who listen to music while working were able to get their job done faster, went through a great mood change, & were able to come up with more unique ideas.

Everyone has a different music taste, and that's why I recommend trying out different music styles during working, to get to know which type of music really suits you and gets your mind churning. Personally, I find that songs with lyrics are pretty distracting while studying, while meditative & focus music really helps me while writing.

2. Changing Up Your Work Space

Although this may seem more of a pricey hack, scientists have proved that this one can really make a difference to how you work.

Let in as much natural light as you possibly can. This can put a change to your mood, and also make you feel more fresh and energized. It also gives you a little Vitamin D during those long work hours. Distractions = no/less productivity. That's why it's recommended to sit in a more quiet environment, with less distraction & noise. This way, you can get alot more focus into your work and get alot more done. Why not bring in some plants to spice your place up a bit? Not only do plants add a nice, aesthetic touch to your work space, according to the University of Exeter, these green creatures also boost employee productivity during work hours by 15%. Just wow.

3. Plan Out Your Schedule with Breaks

Yes, breaks. Being productive doesn't mean blowing your brain off and leaving yourself exhausted, you have to take some time to calm down and relax. You could spend that time taking a power nap, reading a book, or even just taking a stroll in the garden. Companies reveal that by adding a nap to their employees' schedule at work, they have witnessed an increase in productivity and energy.

4. A Big No-No to Multitasking

Multitasking may seem like an extremely energy+time efficient job, but this actually ends up using twice the energy. Take it slow, and plan out your work using To-Do Lists. Start doing one at a time, and you'll soon realise that you're not only working faster and getting more things done, but you won't feel absolutely exhausted at the end of the day.

5. Get That Sleep

The regular norm for sleep time as an adult is usually somewhere around 6-7 hours a night, after which a person is expected to feel well-rested and moticated for the day ahead. Getting that sleep is not only necessary for the energy, but also for giving time to your body to repair cells, get rid of toxic waste, store new info in the brain etc.

According to the The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, a study showed that employees with insufficient sleep hours were having trouble focusing, planning time management, and making those important decisions.

6. To-Do Lists!

To-Do Lists have proved to be effective in both planning and scheduling your day as well as getting those jobs done. A great way to prepare one is described over at Psychology Today, as quoted;

"Next to each bullet-point item, assign an “A” if this is a “must-do” item for today, a “B” for “should do” and a “C” for “could do.”

This helps to create a sense of urgency for each task. If you're working on a larger project, consider breaking it down into chunks, and add those into your To-Do Lists for the next few days. If your tasks for today were not able to be ticked off, don't worry! Just add them to tomorrow's To-Do List.

7. Exercise.

Remember those breaks we mentioned earlier? Why not utilize those breaks with exercise? The folks at Briston University found that employees turned out to be 21% more productive on the days that they exercised, and boosted employee performance.

Exercise also has benefits like reducing risk of disease, improving mental health, strengthen bones, but the main point is that it does make you more productive, and that's what we're here for.

8. Avoid Social Media

All of us have experienced that sudden urge to open that email, reply to that Whatsapp message, or check out that new Insta post, and believe me, I've been through it too. Scientists describe this craving to know informations as : information-seeking behaviour. It's where your brain just needs to know.

Some ways to avoid this are to turn of all app notifications, put your phone on DO NOT DISTURB mode, or just leaving it in another room.

Now that you know these 8 hacks, go make your day more productive than ever, and let me know what you thought about this article!

When I start doing work, I don't always understand if I need help or not. But there are times when, after conducting the research, I need someone who will qualitatively summarize and formulate all the results of the research. That is why I often order essay online here https://order-essay.org/ If necessary, the performer makes adjustments to prepare a perfectly executed task.
