Samsung vs Apple: The Battle of Tech Giants
The competition between Samsung and Apple has been ongoing for years, with both tech giants vying for dominance in the market.

For many years now, there have been rumours of a possible merger of two of the biggest players in technology, which would result in one company becoming dominant in the mobile industry. However, it is not known if this will happen or not as no official announcement is made by either of the companies themselves. To give some insight into what could be coming up, we’ve done our best to look at both companies.
Samsung – Android Phones
When it comes to their current operating system, Android, they are running on an almost identical device that makes most other Android devices obsolete. They call it “Galaxy SIV” and it looks like any regular iPhone when compared to other new phones they bring out yearly. It was released back in 2018 when Google bought it from Samsung. This device allows you to use your phone with the same functionality as any smartphone but is not able to use the internet, watch TV shows, or even install apps that work normally on other Android devices.
This is just one example of how similar they are to each other, the design, capabilities, and more of them are the same except for the name; only slight differences are noted. What also stands out to us is the fact that they use a single antenna for all their phones to improve battery life. In comparison to iPhones, these days there is still a problem with the high battery drain of Samsung Galaxy gadgets. Unlike other smartphones; while Apple phones make it seem like anything is good, nothing quite compares to Samsung. As such, you should stay away from any Samsung phone unless you want to miss key features like being able to see your location and access music on your phone. Samsung offers slightly better performance than its competitors so users have been choosing to buy one over another simply because they aren’t having issues with using their cell phones.
Apple – iPhone 9 Pro/iPhone SE
When it comes to hardware, what Apple brings to the table is truly incredible. All they do is innovate, develop new technologies, come up with a brand-new design, and then release it! No wonder why the latest version of their models is the fastest iPhone that has ever been made and also one that can offer you unlimited storage space. It might take your breath away sometimes but once you get used to it, the experience becomes much better than before.
Apple products also tend to last longer than other devices. With the iPhone, it makes sense to think that people will always want the newest model. We see this with computers, tablets, TVs, and everything else in our lives. Even though it takes time for the newer model to be introduced, many people will continue loving it because of how fast the older ones are. One of the things that you need to keep an eye out for with Apple products is AppleCare, which covers minor issues with your phone such as accidentally dropped calls. It’s also available if you want to add accessories that may come along with the purchase. These include earbuds, a charging station, a case, and a protective cover for your tablet screen. Aside from these, there is never a problem with Apple products. If something were to go wrong, it won’t be long until it gets fixed as the software updates don’t lag in bringing new improvements. You can find that the latest IOS will provide you with features that will help you perform tasks at night or during times when your eyes can get tired. Alongside all these innovations is the ability to change screens to suit your needs. Just by holding down the home button, you will be able to access several different functions of the screen. Everything here is included at no extra cost. You won’t have to spend an arm and a leg to have the right size of monitor available. Simply hold your finger or hover your pointer over the icon of your desired display and you will be able to adjust it to the dimensions of your preference. Some screens can go beyond that but it also depends on the size of your screen so the smaller your size, the more options you have on your hand. Another huge perk is that with iOS 11, you’ll have the option for turning off light notifications on specific websites. Nowadays, there are tons of alternatives to visiting a website on your smartphone that you couldn’t get without interrupting your day. There is a reason you have a little screen on the front of your phone. By switching it on when you wake up, you will surely feel much lighter but it will also reduce the risk of unwanted advertisements and promotions. Not only is this feature handy, but it is the perfect way to limit distractions while getting your needed dose of energy.
Apple vs Samsung rivalry
What can draw a line between the two? Well-being. Whether it’s health or whether it’s the amount of money you will save to make your purchases. From a financial point of view, Apple is extremely profitable and the fact is if they would sell all their businesses worldwide all that would leave them less than enough money to pay their bills and retire. But what they have is a massive customer base. So you won’t have to worry about switching from your friend’s to a younger brother’s phone and don’t get me started about the endless number of Macbooks that remain around because they are still needed. While Apple products are designed, sold, marketed, and promoted for young people, Samsung produces high-end, premium phones that are targeted towards customers who are the elderly. In terms of design and functionalities, there isn’t much of a difference between the two. Except for the obvious advantage of a larger audience that has already discovered them. Whatever side you fall on, whatever you value most about either company, there will be an appeal to buying their product. Just remember if it’s making money, it’s money well! That’s just a personal opinion, however I believe any kind of marketing effort should focus on educating potential buyers on not just what the product is good for but why and where it was created. Why are we paying $700 for the newest edition rather than spending $5 on the highest-performing android device we can get? Who’s got the information to convince a person that purchasing a gadget like this will help them live a healthier and happier life versus a competitor’s offering that can only help them gain weight and become obese? Do you know those ads which show the benefits of eating broccoli? Those commercials should also come with an explanation explaining why broccoli is healthier than white bread. If the latter ad doesn’t convince you, a potential buyer won’t waste his or her time! And this is the thing with selling a product – people need convincing to buy. A salesperson needs to put in some hard work to persuade them not just that their product is worth, it but also why they should purchase it and not somebody else’s. Most likely, the majority of these days, consumers will be persuaded to opt for iPhone instead of going for Samsung due to certain reasons. Maybe it’s the price, or maybe not having to spend so much money on a replacement for that broken piece of glass. Regardless, it is clear that people are very picky to buy brands based on the purpose their products serve. And unfortunately for us, that means we need to come up with ways how to educate people better so they wouldn’t fall into the trap of picking brands solely based on appearance.
To conclude our article, I have to say that there is no doubt that Samsung is a strong contender for supremacy against Apple. Both have excellent products that are built from strong foundations. They both produce amazing designs, top-notch processing power, solid warranties and services, and affordable prices. Without further ado, let's jump towards knowing if Apple will eventually succumb to a rival's pressure and merge with Google.
