Reason First: Student Respectfully Addresses Teacher!

The government school system is broken. With wokism constantly dominating the educational system, it is imperative for learning centers to produce more students like the young lady in the video above.

Without being irate or confrontational with her teacher, she kept her cool and spoke in even tones. She did not profane or taunt the teacher. Instead, the young woman politely explained her actions, and made a reasoned argument to explain why she was helping her friend do her work.

Now, speaking objectively, did the teacher prohibit helping other students while assigning the lesson? Had the student behaved out of turn in the past, and her silence signalled the final moment of patience?

While the video only captures the student’s side of the story, maybe the teacher wanted to say something, but did not want to be recorded admonishing the student.

When the idea of teacher and student as superior and subject come into play, moments like this seem to pop up all over the Web. Jeff Bliss, in a similar scenario, stood up to his instructor for her blase efforts in order to teach (or not teach) the children.

In this case, the teenager spends her time by standing up (literally) to the teacher, and making sure her voice never hovers too far above a conversational tone. With her classmates egging her on as in the Bliss case, she felt empowered to express herself.

The teacher didn’t immediately respond with any punishment, such as sending the girl to the principal’s office, or assigning her detention. All of this could have occurred later when the camera phone disappeared, but it is hard to tell if any of it actually happened.

One thing is for certain, the teacher’s icy silence, and the student’s quiet rebellion, contrasted and complemented each other at the same time. The teacher kept her cool. She just stood there, beaming into the student’s eyes like lightning was shooting out of her own. The student had enough presence of mind not to curse out her teacher.

To display such reserve shows they both have a modicum of respect for one another. This kind of behavior probably happens all the time, but it is increasingly being recorded for the world to see. In everything a teacher has to deal with, polite (albeit a bit forthright) students are a prickly subject. Teachers who wish to do more than collect a paycheck for assigning “busy work” should be applauded for their actions. And students who challenge the status quo of mediocre teachers should be proud of their efforts.

Both parties should be eager to grow and evolve. They can find some common ground based on their abilities to communicate after class is over, and to reach some kind of understanding. If it takes the teacher calling for administrators to help discipline the student, or to lay out the proper teacher-student relationship then that should happen.

For these two females to go against each other without a punch, slap, or kick in the classroom is admirable compared to other viral videos which depict such ugliness. These two used their wits in order to illustrate what a disagreement between them can look like.

If the teacher makes a case that the student violated discipline codes, then that is one thing. If the student had every greenlight to aid a fellow pupil, then she would have been in the right.

Teachers and students don’t have to be at odds with one another. In fact, the majority of teachers engage, interact, and even inspire students to achieve. What all of this points to is the desperate need for private schools to replace every government school.
