Dear Participant,

The Global Youth Energy Outlook aims to bridge the gap between young people and governments, businesses, and other organizations so that we can meaningfully work together to transform the global energy system, address climate change, and address the world's most urgent energy needs. With your help, we are creating the Outlook to represent young people’s opinions, priorities, and timelines for the sustainable energy transition. By working across ten diverse global regions, the Outlook will develop regional roadmaps for engaging young people in the energy transition, understanding that the energy system presents unique challenges and opportunities around the world.

You do not need in-depth knowledge of energy issues to participate in this questionnaire. You must be between the ages of 18-30 years old to participate.

Definitions are provided where a bolded asterisk (*) and blue question mark appear.

This questionnaire contains 42 questions and should take approximately 20-35 minutes to complete.

Information Regarding Data Collection

Your participation will inform our study on youth perspectives on the sustainable energy transition leading to 2030. This data will first be used to guide a subsequent research phase later this year, and will ultimately inform a written Outlook report. The data set from this questionnaire may be used in additional reports, presentations, or publications at our discretion. By keeping all these questions in our mind today we have come up with a new topic called “A Guide on Paragraph Writing”. With this guide, we’ll try to answer all these questions about paragraph writing. Paragraphs act as the main role in a student’s life. While writing any topic in an exam or competition needs paras to explain the concept in an understandable way for the readersKeeping in mind the age group of the students, the matter has been divided into sections and sub-sections so that the students can learn at their own pace.

All new concepts have been developed by class-activity method. The practical hand-on experience of these activities will enable the students to visualise and develop a deeper understanding of the concepts.

Results, wherever possible, have been verified by lab activity method.

Questions in the form of Fill in the Blanks, True/False statements and Multiple Choice Questions, given under the heading ‘Mental Maths’, have been added for the objective assessment of the concepts.

In addition to standard questions, some Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions have been included to enhance the analytical thinking of the students.

Each chapter is followed by a Summary which recapitulates the new terms, concepts and results.

The last section ‘Check Your Progress’, acts as a Unit Test.
