My first day in school

My experience in my first day in school

By MOSES @vocalPublished 2 years ago 3 min read

One chilly morning, very excited, I arrived at the school gate-this was my first day to step in a school compound. The walkway leading to the school building was flanked with tall trees, and sunshine peaked through their leaves, creating a cozy and welcoming glow. I took a deep breath and plunged into the unknown, my backpack buckled and my new shoes squeaking with each step.

A world of opportunities opened up before me as I approached the school's entrance. The structure was big and imposing, its brick outside covered with brilliant artwork and banners that alluded to the adventure that lay within. Children's talk and laughing filled the playground, creating an airborne symphony of young joy.

The corridor was a maze of frantic activity, a frenzy of kids saying farewell to their parents with hugs, teachers giving comforting smiles, and the sound of lockers closing. As I followed the stream of students, my heart was racing, and I attempted to take it all in with wide-eyed interest. Lockers stood sentinels along the walls, each one decorated with stickers, magnets, and images that revealed something about the owners' distinct personalities.

My heart raced as I was both nervous and excited inside the classroom. Each workstation was equipped with a clean sheet of paper and a recently sharpened pencil and was neatly organized in rows. I sat down near the window, the sun shining in like a spotlight on this fresh start. I felt at peace the moment we were welcomed by the instructor, Mrs. Garcia, who grinned at us with friendliness. She introduced herself and asked every one of us to follow suit

A tapestry of contacts emerged during the course of the day, each one leaving a lasting impression on my memory. I got to know Lily, a cheerful young lady who liked to doodle in the margins of her notebook. Max, with his never-ending enthusiasm and tales of adventurous escapades he had undertaken throughout the summer. Then there was Emily, whose eyes would light up as she spoke about her interests in science and literature.

The playground was liberated at recess, and time flew by as games and laughter erupted. I got on the merry-go-round and started playing a game of tag that seemed to have its own set of rules. As I whirled, the environment blurred into a riot of hues and chuckles. However, as the performance progressed, I couldn't help but have a sense of home, as if I had found my place in this vivacious web of friendship.

When we were back in the classroom, we studied tales, statistics, and even a straightforward science experiment. We combined colors and marveled as a volcano erupted with a fizzy blast of enthusiasm as the classroom changed into a lab. My interest in learning grew with each passing minute because to Mrs. Garcia's contagious enthusiasm for teaching.

I exited the building as the last bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, feeling both exhausted and elated. Recounting stories and discussing details of the day with my family on the way home was a frenzy. As the sun began to set, casting a warm warmth over everything in my immediate surroundings, I understood that this day had signaled the beginning of a magnificent vacation.

That night I laid in my bed over exited with fresh memories of the day. My first day of school was a whirlwind of new encounters, pals, and rekindled intellectual passion. As I closed my eyes, I was thrilled to see where this magnificent voyage would take me and was aware of the chances that lay ahead.
