About Kathmandu University
Kathmandu University (KU) is a public autonomous university in Nepal. It is the third oldest university in Nepal, located 30 km east of Kathmandu in Tulikel, Gavrebalanchok District. It was established in 1991 with the goal of "quality education for leadership". KU operates its seven schools and campuses in Tulikel, Badan, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. The University offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses in various fields.
The university's world-class campus has plenty of student-friendly facilities. These facilities ensure a secure and comfortable educational environment for students. With a focus on Tulsi, there is a canteen on the university’s central campus that runs the university’s accommodation mess on a cooperative basis. Apart from this, there are two hostels on the main campus of the university, which are boys 'hostel and girls' hostel. The third dormitory of the university is a boy's dormitory located on the S.C. Hostels provide a safe environment for students and are equipped with facilities such as a playground, television and fitness machines. International students stay in a guest house, which is located on the university campus.
The Kathmandu University offers a number of scholarships to deserving students. Scholarships in KU SOS (for students in KU School of Science programs), Scholarships in KU SOM (for students in KU School of Management programs), Scholarships in KU SOA (for students in KU School) and some of the university programs offered by KU SO) Scholarship (for students in KU school curricula). The university also offers KU education loans, which help students meet 25% to 50% of the total fees charged by the university. Students must sign a contract with the university to receive the benefits of the program. In addition, KU offers graduate scholarships to deserving students.
