Intelligent Automation and the Revolution in Education

The Implications of Artificial Intelligence for Education in the Future

By Barry KowaskiPublished about a year ago 3 min read

The list of sectors that artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to help will only expand as the technology advances. Do you see any significant advantages or potential drawbacks to granting someone such immense power?

A moderately unused specialised advancement, manufactured insights (AI), lets computers learn and illuminate issues as people do. It demonstrates that, given learning from its blunders, counterfeit insights can eventually develop.

Manufactured insights (AI) is the capacity of a computer to create from novel data and encounters.

Modern science has given computers this capacity. Intelligent Automaton and the Transformational Potential in Education

Futural Implications of Artificial Intelligence for Education

As technology advances, the sectors potentially benefiting from artificial intelligence will only increase for longer. Which do you believe is most likely—that humans will be able to control such an immense power—a significant benefit for humanity or a severe disadvantage?

Artificial intelligence (AI): Modern technologies enable computers to complete all human tasks, including cognition, learning, and problem-solving, using their capacity. AI thus always develops from earlier efforts.

Contemporary technology, known as artificial intelligence (AI), permits computers to replicate human capabilities by facilitating thought, learning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement through the acquisition of new knowledge.

This year, AI has once again been in the global limelight. Since 2015, the company OpenAI—engaged in research and development in this field—has devoted its entire efforts to building and developing artificial intelligence technologies. GPT-1 also saw the light of day in August 2018.

The announcement of the deployment of ChatGPT was made in December 2022. A generative artificial intelligence application, ChatGPT, is an intelligent machine or AI model that can have conversations and interact (Chatbot). It is a natural language that can be in the form of text and speech inputs, gets received and analysed, after which it's able to provide, create (generate) reasonable responses, and interact by answering questions or making comments about the topic, writing and translating automatically, and the like.

The final area centred on fake intelligence's points of interest in instruction, so we present a few disadvantages.

Having all the content written or articulated thus makes homework more difficult. Like all inventions, counterfeit ideas have unavoidable adverse effects, including overdependence. It occurs when a child completes homework using too many outside resources or parental influence.

Students who struggle with self-discipline risk becoming passive learners, hoping artificial intelligence will handle all their thinking.

Learners may need more analytical skills and the ability to solve problems. Too much dependency on these bots can restrict honest research and creative ability.

Young children may turn to artificial intelligence to write their essays since they are unaware of the possible hazards, which can later have dire consequences. For example, it could impair their future writing capacity since children who depend on technology learn to communicate their thoughts but find it challenging to translate them on paper.

Many tools based on artificial intelligence, including education management technology, can reduce teachers' workloads. It would let them work more comprehensively, remain focused on teaching and coaching, enhance student relationship-building, and increase learning effectiveness—adverse effects of artificial intelligence on education.

Some people say that AI is a bulldozer. It can bulldoze traditions and erase certain practices for the betterment of society for the sake of its social evolution. In most cases, AI cannot fill the gap in human-emotional interaction. Eradicating human elements in education and the emotional aspects of students' diversity, individuality, and privacy, as well as collecting personally identifiable information, are reasons why artificial intelligence should be used cautiously. If approaches to education are wrong, artificial intelligence will have many adverse effects on education.

Use artificial intelligence carefully so that the end product is a brilliant fusion of humanity and technology.

Let us emphasise that artificial intelligence is only a technological tool. Yet how does one effectively employ it? Artificial intelligence can only be used for educational purposes by integrating ideas with methods.

Amid an AI revolution, educators and students should remember to imbibe a degree of spirituality, compassion, and love in all reasonable strategic decisions. Internalise Chinese and foreign cultures such as literature, history, philosophy, and so on; know that there is consciousness in everything around; be affectionate towards all; be global in outlook; be able to analyse and survey the present-day scenario of human culture; the aim of education lies in its humanistic orientation: we wish all in education to have the patience of adults, be humane, and care for society; hold on to our dreams; let's be passionate and act with purpose to benefit society and ourselves. It only facilitates the recognition and appreciation of people as unique and valuable.
