How to Write Content Guaranteed to Get Views and Reads

Why the Article Was Written

Writers put their entire being into making their work visible, readable, enjoyable, and shareable. We all want our articles, blogs, and novels to be read by others, unless we write a private diary.

After receiving multiple inquiries from aspiring authors that I teach about how to increase views and reading times for their articles, tales, and blog posts, I was motivated to write this essay.

It's risky to offer a guarantee on anything. However, based on my experience, each blog post and article I wrote for various platforms received at least a few views and reads. Therefore, the idea of a guarantee in this setting is plausible.

Even the most uninteresting (and extremely technical for the general public) articles received some views and brief reading time. As a result, I am confident that every blog post and article can be read and viewed on well-established writing platforms.

The purpose of this article is to offer practical advice on how to increase the number of views and reading times of content on writing and blogging platforms in various formats. As a result, despite the fact that some of the points I make may help raise content quality, this article does not offer any writing advice.

In addition, I offer practical advice on how to make content on these platforms more likely to go viral. As the author of multiple books and having worked online for more than three decades, I am confident in the advice I offer.

I've increased my chances over the past few years by following some rules, despite the fact that viral content is highly dependent on luck. By looking at the patterns in the viral stories, I learned the rules. Surprisingly, the patterns were easy to see.

I haven't used every pattern because I thought some of them were unethical. However, I was able to use some of the patterns I modeled. In the third section of this article, I describe them.

Articles that go viral are not just good for writers' egos. They might also bring in a lot of money for sponsored blogs and writers. In addition, if affiliate marketing links are used, viral stories can bring in new customers.

In a book that is available on this platform, I provided advice on how to use affiliate links in articles.

Writers of non-fiction will find this article useful. My fiction experience is limited. As a result, I have little faith in the visibility of poetry or fiction. However, writers of poetry or fiction might find some of the information in this article useful.

1 — How to Increase Views It is much simpler to increase views than reads.

Clickbait is the quickest and most unethical method. As it has a boomerang effect, this is clearly not an option. Additionally, writers lose valuable readers for the sake of views.

In addition, the majority of content platforms pay writers only for the time they spend reading, not for the number of views.

The three ways to get more views are as follows:

First, come up with catchy titles.

When compared to clickbait, using catchy titles in the article's body is a more effective strategy. We need to keep our word as writers.

We must provide steps to explain a procedure, product, or service if our title is a how-to article.

This article's title, for instance, is "How to Write Articles Guaranteed to Get Reads and Views." As a result, I break down my approach into several steps.

2: Include appealing images.

Stories and blog posts with pictures get more views than those without.

Photos are beloved by many readers. The reader's attention is immediately drawn to an appealing and pertinent image, which can also elicit immediate feelings.

Because the majority of our decisions are influenced by our emotions, images that evoke particular feelings in connection with the title of a story or blog post can significantly increase the likelihood that interested readers will open the content.

Clickbait images, like titles, can have negative effects.

Last but not least, copyright-free photos should be avoided because of severe penalties for violators. In addition, it is necessary to caption photos in blog posts and articles.

Why Image Copyrights Are Important for Bloggers, Editors, and Writers 3 — Provide an attractive format.

This crucial step is either skipped by many writers or undervalued. Order is a pleasure for the brain. When making a decision, the first impression is everything. This is accomplished by the structure of our content.

The majority of readers glance at the text briefly prior to beginning to read. Unless they are desperate about the content, they will probably skip it if it does not catch their eye. In less than a second, they might make this choice.

Long paragraphs, inconsistent headings, muddled fonts, and irrelevant bolding or italics in articles and blog posts can cause readers to become disoriented and confused.

Now that the reader has opened the story or blog post, we need to pique their interest and get them to continue reading.

Section Summary The article's title and subtitle are the most important factors in increasing views. The image of the article is then essential for evoking emotions. The layout of the content is the next essential element for the reader's first impression once they click on the piece. As a result, the content's formatting is crucial for the subsequent step.

2: How to Increase Your Reading Times Reading times are more advantageous than views. As a result, we must increase our efforts to enhance these aspects in our blog posts, stories, and articles.

1. Provide Answers to Crucial Questions A lot of readers read for the purpose of obtaining responses to pressing questions. They check search engines first. They then read the articles or blog posts when they see the links.

Search engines almost certainly index our articles if they provide an answer to a query.

Answering frequently asked questions in my area of expertise is, in my experience, the most efficient method for obtaining reads. I practiced with this ability on Quora. I was inspired by the thousands of views and upvotes.

We need to make sure that the title of articles that answer common questions reflects the question. Some examples include:

In five steps, how can we overcome writer's block?

Why should we read more to improve our writing?

What major distractions hinder writers' productivity?

Who is eligible to profit from affiliate marketing?

When is the best time to exercise for weight loss?

As mentioned in the introduction, you may have noticed that this article provides an answer to a question that was posed to me by my protégés. It is likely that they will read it and distribute it to interested readers.

2: Address unresolved issues.

Numerous readers, like questions, seek solutions to their issues.

If you are an expert in a particular field, this strategy can bring in a lot of readers. My health, fitness, lifestyle, and self-improvement articles, for instance, consistently receive more views than others.

Even though I do not intend to provide advice, these articles are in high demand because they attempt to solve problems. Instead, I present the information in a novel manner so that readers can use it to solve their problems.

Credibility is necessary for these kinds of blog posts and articles. As a result, we must back up every statement we make with established practices. I usually provide links to reliable sources like clinical or scientific research.

3. Be relevant when you talk about your experience.

Writers who have more experience than they do in a given field attract readers. As a result, experts' niche content typically attracts more readers.

Because readers also recommend them to other readers in their circles, authors with expertise gain more followers.

We must highlight and explain our experiences when writing stories. When describing a product or service and describing its uses and benefits, we must also include our own personal experiences.

Although readers can find information about any product or service on the Internet, they want an actual experience that addresses their issues and concerns. We can significantly increase the amount of time spent reading our content by presenting our experience in a credible manner.

4. Retell a true story.

Stories are very appealing to the brain. Stories that are well-written and true to life can captivate readers. Clarity, conciseness, and impact are my story writing principles.

To appear sophisticated, some writers employ convoluted sentences, lengthy paragraphs, and difficult language. They might work in literary books, but online readers, especially those using mobile devices, will not be able to use them.

On the Internet, readers have a very short attention span. The majority of people read content while waiting or taking a brief break. At that time, they want to learn something quickly. They have no regard for a writer's level of education or sophistication.

Using a storytelling approach, even the most difficult and complex subjects can be presented to the reader with clarity, conciseness, and impact.

This is a real-life example of a story that shows how I used my intellect and emotions appropriately in both my younger and older years. Additionally, I authentically add emotions to my travel narratives.

Stories are usually how I convey difficult health and well-being topics. You can read some of my stories by clicking on this link. My essays without storytelling had fewer readers than these stories did.

5: Offer Takeaways.

A lot of readers choose a piece of content for its value. They wish to acquire a few key points that may provide answers to their inquiries. They want to get rid of their problems or make their lives better.

Before reading the rest of the essay, some readers only read the conclusion to determine its value. As a result, if you mention takeaways in the first paragraph, they might pique their interest and bolster their faith in your article.

At the conclusion of the article, takeaways are typically provided. On the other hand, some seasoned authors provide takeaways after each section. Different groups may benefit from either approach.

Summary of Section These are the most significant improvements to readability. However, there are numerous additional items that can increase impact and quality. I provide a checklist of essential items in a link to one of my articles to cut the story short.

Editorial Checklist 3: Improving the Quality of Writing — How to Increase the Chance of Going Viral Because I've written multiple stories about this topic, I only focus on five essential points in this section. You can read my previous works by following the relevant links.

1 — The Fundamentals The Fundamentals for Increasing Views and Reading Times of Blog Posts are outlined in Sections 1 and 2.

But viral stories take more work than regular stories.

In the subsequent sections, I discuss them.

2 — Content that is emotional and controversial Emotions play a crucial role in human decision-making. According to studies, emotions overrule reason and intellect when making decisions.

First and foremost, the titles of viral stories are controversial or empathetic. Only 1% of the outcome consists of this. By considering the issues from a variety of perspectives, 99 percent are conveying the story in an emotional manner and making it appear controversial.

Some writers only focus on the positive or neutral aspects of an issue because they want to be safe. Negative factors have the potential to intensify the subject's controversy and increase readership.

The writer can more effectively convey negative emotions and make them more palatable to readers by injecting humor into certain subjects.

In my experience, a story can attract more readers if it includes a variety of emotions, both positive and negative. On the other hand, the likelihood of our content's widespread visibility decreases if it lacks emotion. if not go viral; Those stories are read by a lot of people.

Style and delivery mode are dependent on emotions as well as content. Therefore, emotional storytelling may increase the likelihood of virality.

On a platform, a writer shared a straightforward, heartfelt story, which received millions of views. In just three brief sentences, I was able to summarize the entire viral story, which included approximately a thousand words.

I wrote in-depth essays on profound subjects, but only a few people read them. In contrast, hundreds of readers and thousands of views were given to straightforward tales with a lot of emotion.

3 — Magnificent Opening and Ending From my experience, the first and last paragraphs of an article or blog post are typically read by the majority of readers.

These readers feel compelled to read the middle paragraph if the first and last paragraphs entice them.

In 2021, when I looked at more than 100 viral stories in my publications, I noticed that the people who wrote them made a big effort to make them look better.

When I talked to some of these writers, they told me that they spent more time on the first and last paragraphs than on the text itself.

Even if our content is extremely well written, the likelihood of the reader reading the remainder is very low if the first paragraph is dull and fails to convey the main points.

4 — Promotional Aspects Based on Platforms Most viral stories are supported by platforms through special distribution or featuring. Naturally, this is a privilege that not all bloggers or writers enjoy.

By meeting fundamental requirements, we can still increase the chance of featuring, curating, or special distribution. In order to increase the likelihood of curation on various platforms, I provided five essential questions.

Writing high-quality content, selecting relevant tags, and writing clear SEO (search engine optimization) descriptions can also increase the likelihood of special distribution and feature. Five Questions to Increase Curation Chance and Reading Fans

5: Be Social Media Friendly to Increase Your Reach Many readers enjoy sharing interesting and important content with their networks. I noticed that social media posts and blog posts with reader support went viral.

Because they can only reach a small number of people, authors cannot expect their stories to go viral if they continue to post them on various social media platforms. In addition, based on my experience, these platforms distribute the content to less than one percent of followers.

However, depending on their network, a post can reach thousands or even millions of readers if hundreds of readers can share it.

A story I wrote and shared with approximately 300 readers on a writing platform, for instance, received close to one million views in just two days.

My point is that the post needs to be compatible with social media in order for more readers to proudly share it on their networks.

On the other hand, if you have a lot of followers on your social media platforms, you might work with other members of those platforms to boost your posts. I gave advice on how to use social media in real life.

Section Summary: How Writers and Readers Can Use Social Media Effectively Section Summary: After the basics, the most important thing for writers to do is make sure their content is alive with emotions. Writers can increase their chances of being featured and curated by platforms by meeting fundamentals. In addition, increasing the likelihood of going viral can be achieved by making stories compatible with social media and encouraging readers to share them.

Conclusions and Takeaways Writing is both an art and a science that requires a lot of effort on the part of the author. Writing is a way of life for many writers, who put their all into their work but only get a few views and reads. It's not a good situation.

Because I have previously experienced the pain, I have a strong sense of empathy and compassion for those writers. As a result, I teach new bloggers and writers my hard-earned lessons to speed up their learning curve.

Writing lessons are not the subject of this article. In order to increase views and reading time, delivery and marketing are key. The readers of this story, in my opinion, might be much better writers than I am. Improving delivery is my contribution.

Despite having years of experience in particular fields, I observed exceptional writers whose content received little exposure due to a lack of delivery and marketing skills.

They significantly increased the number of people who saw their content after a brief period of mentoring for some of those writers. As a result, some gained significant followers and established devoted followings.

In several articles, I provided guidance for gaining followers and cultivating a devoted following. Here are some examples that can serve as a guide and reflect my own experience.
