Electronics and games are a major source of entertainment so they are used a lot which creates a need for more.

Where can I resell the electronics and gaming items I find?

Well fortunately nowadays there are many places to sell electronics and games! Some of the top places to resell are eBay, Amazon, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, Shopify, Valuetronics, Decluttr, Buybackworld, Gazelle, Flipsy, Itsworthmore, Swappa, and more! Just do a search for “sell my electronics”.

Selling for the highest price - If you want to sell for the highest price I recommend places like Amazon, eBay, and Swappa.

Selling for convenience - If you do not want to put in that much effort into selling you can go to places like Gazelle, Buybackworld, or Decluttr. These sites make it easy for you, just find your device, enter some information, and bam.

Selling for speed - And finally if you want to sell your items quickly you can try a trade in program with a company like Best Buy or Amazon, or take your electronics to an EcoATM near you.

Trade in programs usually provide a gift card for the value of your electronics, which you can then use to upgrade, or sell for cash in turn.

Where can I find electronics and games to resell?

And now I will share with you ways to find electronics for resale. The most obvious is garage and estate sales. Some of the best places to find garage and estate sales are Facebook groups, Craigslist, Garagesalefinder, Gsalr, Yardsalesearch, and many more!

Putting your foot to the pavement every week or weekend pays off also. Create a radius around your home of how far you are willing to drive. Create a path and circle your way back around. After driving around a few weeks you will discover what streets and areas have a the most garage sales. There are certain corners I check every thursday!

What days are the best to garage sale hunt? Typically most people have garage sales between thursday and sunday. I get out on the road around 8 am on thursdays and fridays and travel the route to find them. In my area after I developed a route I find 10 - 15 sales most weekends. Keep tweaking your driving route until you find the most populated garage sale path!

My best score was finding a $35 guitar and reselling it for $3800! What an incredible find! It was the beauty that looked like a beast! This thing looked in bad shape, had broken strings, scratches, but sold for a small fortune! Estate sales are a great way to find resellables if you have the patience!

By having patience I mean you must be willing to wait in line to get into the property. Going right when the sale is starting is the best method to find something to resell as others will surely be lined up waiting as well. Usually estate sales are a great way to get vintage electronics and games.

Finding estate sales is a pretty easy thing to do! Simply search estate sales, appraisal companies, and auctioneers in your area. You will easily come up with a list of companies near you! In my area I have 3 major estate sale companies I prefer to use. They tend to have estate sales in better areas which produce higher quality items.

Auction websites :

I do not have to talk much about these because almost everyone has heard about places like eBay, Amazon, Auction.com, Liquidation.com, Alibaba, and Bstock. 🙂

Lot buying is a good way to save and get products to sell. Making deals and/or buying in lots from pawn stores has worked really well for me!

We have tried buying liquidated pallets from places like liquidation.com but dont tend to find quality products that work to resell. I prefer selling vintage items as well so I stick to other ways.

Try putting up a lot of electronics and games for sale on Facebook Marketplace. This tends to get responses from people who collect them. Slowly grow your customer base to market or sell items to near you!

Storage unit auctions:

I could go on all day about buying unclaimed storage units to find items to resell but I will try to make it quick!

The internet makes it easier today to find storage units to bid on. Some of the top auction websites are Storagetreasures.com, Bid13.com, lockerfox, selfstorageauction.com, and storageauctions.com.

You can also go to live auctions in your area. Develop a list of places that have storage unit auctions and check back regularly.

Some of the places you can check are Uhaul, storage unit rental companies near you, and auctioneers.

Be ready to bid against others when you go to the live auctions! Usually they only take cash so bring a roll of dough with you!

Electronics and Gaming store dumpster diving:

If you want to get down and dirty you can regularly check the dumpsters behind stores for unwanted stock, parts, and more!

Find small shops and talk to the managers or owner about buying out used stock!

In the end its the time and effort you put into it like anything else. But having the right contacts can speed up your process and make you more money!
