The atmosphere at Apeejay School, Pitampura’s winter carnival, ‘Euphoria,’ was truly electric, thereby ringing in the new year with heartfelt joy and celebration. A dazzling array of 36 game stalls offered non-stop entertainment, creativity, and entrepreneurial flair, drawing students, parents, and guests alike into a world of excitement.

Adding to the carnival’s charm was a delightful ‘Superhero Parade’ by the tiny tots of the Nursery class. Dressed adorably in superhero costumes, these little stars made a spectacular entry with super-cute dance moves. Their energy, charm, and perfection in performance captivated the audience, leaving everyone thoroughly enchanted.

Chief Guest Mr. Praveen Khandelwal, Member of Parliament (BJP) and National Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders, was mesmerised by their passion of the tiny tots. Commending the school, he remarked, “I congratulate the school and deeply appreciate the hard work of teachers and students for making this carnival a resounding success. The talent displayed during the superhero parade was remarkable. My best wishes to the school, teachers and all the students!”

Mrs. Veena Goel, Principal of Apeejay School, Pitampura, expressed her joy, saying, “A sunkissed/lit, fun-filled carnival, what a spectacular day! A heartfelt thanks to our students, parents, and dedicated staff for making this a truly unforgettable experience.”

A Playground for Creativity and Teamwork

‘Euphoria’ was a melting pot of innovation, as students exercised their creativity and teamwork to set up engaging stalls. The Class 8-C team highlighted their process, with Veronica Gupta sharing, “It was a beautiful experience. We brainstormed together to come up with fun game ideas, and the crowd has loved our games ‘Lucky 7’ and ‘Match the Cups’ the most” Kashvi Bansal added, “We set up seven unique games in just thirty minutes, and the response has been overwhelming.”

Venya Goel reflected on their teamwork, “Working together, collecting feedback, and refining our ideas taught us a lot.” Meanwhile, Javesh Dang emphasized the entrepreneurial lessons, saying, “I learned to attract customers with creative ideas and develop people management skills.”

Science and Sports Take Center Stage

Class 7-C students took a scientific approach in the carnival with their buzz wire loop game. Arnav Arora reminisced, “A few years ago, as a Class 5 student, I was mesmerized by the science games at the school’s winter carnival. This inspired me to create my own, and it’s been a hit!”

For the adventurous, Class 7-A students—Madhav Anand, Arnav Raheja, and Yatharth Chawla—ran a popular paper cup pyramid shooting game. An excited Madhav shared, “Inspired by the video game Free Fire, we blended in the concept with a nerf gun, testing accuracy in a super fun way.”

Even the youngest students showcased remarkable creativity. Mishika Bansal from Class 2-D wowed guests with her paper-and-straw game, confidently explaining, “Players have to move 15 pieces of paper using a straw in under a minute. It’s a fun way to test breath power and coordination!”

Bollywood, Chess, and Virtual Reality

Bollywood buffs Vaanya Sharma and Naisha Bansal from Class 8-D struck gold with their movie-guessing game based on iconic dialogues. “Movies unite everyone, so we knew this game would resonate,” they said.

For intellectuals, Class 9’s Vaani Shah, a zonal-level chess medalist, set up a ‘Play Chess with Me’ stall. She shared, “Chess is mentally stimulating and far from boring once you start playing. I wanted to share that joy.”

In a tech-savvy twist, a PlayStation 5 gaming zone by Class 10 students Vidit Bansal, Raghav Sachdeva, Rupin Mehra, Udyan Khosla, and Raghav became an instant hit. “FIFA 23, Mortal Kombat, and Spider Man 2 have been crowd favorites!” said Rupin, proud of their stall’s success.

While class 11 students Chahat Sadhwani and Kanishk Mahour showcased their creativity with an IQ-testing color palette arrangement game. “The mobile game ‘Color Water Sort Puzzle’ inspired us,” said Chahat. “We wanted to experience it in real life, so we built a similar model using cardboard.” Kanishk added, “The challenge is to arrange the different colored circles in a linear order within a minute. It tests quick thinking on your feet and is super fun!”

Beyond Games: Dance, Tambola, and Rides

The carnival wasn’t limited to stalls. A lively dance area buzzed with activity, as students grooved to their favourite tunes, with playful song-suggestion banter between rival football club fan-students adding to the fun. Meanwhile, a designated Tambola zone kept students and parents hooked with the thrill of numbers and luck while a Talent Hunt show was organised in three rounds in the open auditorium area, as students expressed their latent potential on the grand platform.

No carnival is complete without rides and food! The rollercoaster section and food stalls added an extra layer of cheer, ensuring that ‘Euphoria’ was a perfect blend of fun, learning, and unforgettable memories. The winter carnival was truly a testament to the creativity and energy of Apeejay School, Pitampura’s students, and a wonderful start to 2025!
