From kindergarten to universities, education has become totally online. In this online education era, let's look into the details of this new way of education and what it has to offer. Education seems one of the most affected areas by the novel corona virus. The pandemic has created a major shift in teaching and learning methods. Both the teachers and students are still trying hard to accept the new normal ways of education. Those students and teachers who enjoyed the company and atmosphere of school or colleges will definitely find this time really frustrating. But there are ways to make the online mode of education fruitful and interactive.

After one year of online education, people have come up with their own strategies to overcome these difficulties by enrolling themselves in self study techniques. But not all of the lessons can be learned on their own , some require the teacher’s presence too. That is where online education has become essential. There are pros and cons to this paradigm shift too. Teachers and students need to be updated with technology . This has made students look out for all the opportunities and possibilities available for them in order to keep up.The efforts they make has increased to a great extent. This has also increased students’ curiosity to learn new things and look into the wide opportunities offered for them.

And, the online method of teaching has helped many of the adults whose education was stopped in some early stages of life due to various reasons. These people are now able to acquire knowledge sitting in the comfort of their homes . Time flexibility is another good thing about online classes. You can save your classes and lessons for future references and learn whenever you are comfortable. Not only students have benefited, but also those who work and earn can learn upskilling courses that can add up their skills and increase their potential. In this highly competitive world, education is not just about acquiring knowledge but also about updating your knowledge too .

The online education system may seem like a luxury to some underprivileged sections. One main problem is the internet connectivity and lack of proper gadgets. But there are many alternatives like scholarships and gadget support for these sections. Another problem is about the language in which the classes are taught. The vernacular way of learning is more important to make some of the students understand the topics. E-learning shouldn't be limited to just sharing videos or taking classes, but more interactive and creative sessions are to be included so that students feel connected and can come up with the pace.

There are many resources available online which can make the students follow their passion and get involved in the activities they find interesting. There are many upskilling platforms , spoken english applications and videos, general knowledge and current affairs learning courses. The students who are preparing for the competitive exams can really make use of this time , because there are many study materials available online like mock test series and question papers in platforms like Entri, Topper, Byjus, Unacademy etc.

So far, the new normal is not that bad. The success goes with those who adapt with their circumstances and thrive there with the limited and available resources.Learning is a never ending process, which has no limits like age or time. It's time to live with the flow and grab more opportunities to make use of it. American songwriter and singer B.B. King once said, “ The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.” Lets learn as much as we can , because knowledge and experience is the ultimate power.

Bloom, no matter wherever you are planted.
