Easiest German words to learn
Easiest to learn German words
The German language is well known to be one of the hardest languages to learn. It has a complicated grammar with a lot irregularities, sounds which do not exist in many other languages, and so on. One often overlooked aspect of the difficulty of learning German is remembering new vocabulary, which can be exceptionally hard as languages courses usually focus on purely Germanic words like ausschreiben, besuchen, etc., which actually are the hardest to learn for foreigners. However, as German is a Germanic language, it shares a common origin with English (as well as with other languages like Danish, Dutch, Swedish, Yiddish, etc.) and has plenty of words which are very similar to their English counterparts and are thus easy to learn for English speakers. Both German and English also contain a large number of loanwords from languages like French, Italian, Greek, Latin, etc.
