Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador
Community Influencers want to grow their online presence by creating and sharing Microsoft content to attract audience and drive engagement.
To be invited to join the Student Ambassadors program, students who choose the Community Influencer path must complete Technical Training and reach 2,000 unique visitors to Microsoft website pages using their Contributor IDs. Registered members who meet the requirement will be invited to join the program on a quarterly basis.

What is a Contributor ID and how do I get mine?
Students who register for the Student Ambassadors program are given Contributor IDs to use when completing required path activities. These IDs help us track progress to becoming a Student Ambassador. The ID does not change during your time as a registered member.
Students who choose the Community Influencer path will add their Contributor ID to the ends of Microsoft content they share on social.
After registering for the program, students will receive their Contributor ID by email within 3-5 days. The ID will have the general format ?wt.mcid=studentamb_######, with the # signs being replaced by unique numbers.
How do I add my Contributor ID to content URLs?
Students will add the ID to the end of eligible Microsoft URLs and then share the modified URL (and content) on social.
For example:
You want to share the link to the Fundamental AI Concepts learn module
The link is https://learn.microsoft.com/training/modules/get-started-ai-fundamentals
You modify the link by adding your Contributor ID to the end of the url
The new link is https://learn.microsoft.com/training/modules/get-started-ai-fundamentals?wt.mc_id=studentamb_######
What else do I need to know about adding my Contributor ID to content URLs?
If the content URL contains lang-locale (e.g. en-us/, fr-fr/, etc), make sure to remove the lang-locale before adding your Contributor ID to the end. And if the content URL already contains a “?”, make sure to replace the “?” in your Contributor ID with a “&” before adding it to the end.
For example:
You want to share the link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/?WT.mc_id=academic
You modify the link by removing the lang-local https://learn.microsoft.com/?WT.mc_id=academic
You modify the link by adding your Contributor ID to the end of the url replacing the “?” with a “&”
The new link is https://learn.microsoft.com/?WT.mc_id=academic&wt.mc_id=studentamb_######
What Microsoft URLs are eligible to use with Contributor IDs?
Only site pages on the sites listed below are eligible to use with Contributor IDs. Unique visitors who land on pages on these sites by clicking a url with your Contributor ID will be reflected in your count.

What are unique visitors?
Unique visitors are visitors who have not visited a page before. Once they visit a page, they are no longer unique.
For example:
A visitor is unique the first time they go https://learn.microsoft.com/credentials
A visitor is not unique the second, third, fourth etc times they go https://learn.microsoft.com/credentials
How do I know my unique visitor count?
Your unique visitor count will be updated and sent to your registration email bi-monthly around the 15th and and 31st of the month.
Remember, only unique visitors who land on pages on these sites by clicking a url with your Contributor ID will be reflected in your count. Unique visitors are first time visitors. They are not total visitors and students should not confuse the two numbers.
