Be a Hero to Your Children. #final part.
Life teaches us to either become fighters or flee from the battle. Engage in the real fight that is happening within your family.

Be a Fighter: Trust in God and Stand Firm
In life, challenges abound, especially for fathers in blended families. The financial and emotional demands can be overwhelming, and when combined with personal struggles such as economic hardship and relationship difficulties, it might seem easier to escape than to face these battles. Yet, the message from Nehemiah is clear: Do not be afraid. This message resonates deeply with the men of today.
Many men, out of fear, choose to leave their families, seeking a life of convenience and ease. However, this is not the path of a courageous man. We are called to be Men of God, to stand firm and not abandon our families or marriages. Even in the face of significant loss, whether a child has strayed into the world or, tragically, been lost to death, which can tear families apart, we are reminded to be men of faith and courage.
Stand Firm in Faith
God speaks to us today, urging us to position ourselves and not be afraid of the challenges that come our way. You may feel inadequate or weak, but remember, God is with you. He is your strength. When facing the trials of life, whether dealing with a child's mental illness, a learning disorder, or work-related stress, trust in God's support and sustenance. He has you in His hands.
Fight for Your Family
You are called to be a fighter. Not in a physical sense, but a spiritual and emotional warrior. Fight against depression, discouragement, passivity, and anger. Do not fear the battle or flee from it. Your family needs you to stand firm. It might be easier to run away, but abandoning your responsibilities only brings more pain and hardship. Choose to fight for your family, trusting that God will sustain and support you.
Be a Hero to Your Children
Your children look up to you as their hero. By staying and fighting for your family, you set a powerful example. Even if your own father walked away, you have the opportunity to break that cycle and show your children what it means to be a man of God. Correct, discipline, instruct, and love them, but always remember, the battle is not against your children. It is against the challenges that threaten your family.
Embrace the Battle
Life teaches us to either become fighters or flee from the battle. Do not check out mentally or numb yourself with distractions. Engage in the real fight that is happening within your family. It is easier to run, but as a man of God, you are called to face the battle head-on. Trust in your mighty God, knowing that He is on your side. Enter the battle with the assurance that you are a winner through Jesus Christ.
### Prayer
Let's end with a prayer for strength and courage:
"Lord, I pray for every father and man facing battles today. Bring healing to those who have experienced fatherlessness and the wounds it brings. Help us to break cycles of poverty and absence. Lord, let your love heal the deepest parts of us and guide us to be the fighters we are called to be. Strengthen us to stay in the battle, to trust in You, and to fight for our families. In Jesus' name, Amen."
By staying in the battle, you show your family that you are a true hero. Your courage and steadfastness point them to Jesus Christ and ensure that victory is on your side. Keep pressing on, for you are not alone. God is with you, and He will never leave you.
