what is AI?

Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems.

In simple words, AI can perform all the activities the human can do and also the activities the human can't do.

Where is AI used in our daily life?

Before the creation of an AI, humans normally drink water when they feel thirsty and will clean the home using the broom. Simply, they give work to their hands, legs and body.

A famous Tamil proverb " தன் கையே தனக்கு உதவி!" which means "Our own hands are helpful to us"

But now the AI makes this proverb wrong .Instead of us the AI is doing all our work.

some of the examples of where we use AI in our day-to-day life

• We control the smart home devices using our mobile phones.

• We switch on/off the lights, and fans by the digital assistants namely Apple's Siri, Google Now, Amazon's Alexa, and Microsoft's Cortana.

• Even students use Chat GPT for their projects and assignments which is an Artificial Intelligence chatbot.

Advantages of using AI:

• It is the greatest invention because it is mostly used in the medical field.
• AI allows people with disabilities to live independently.

• AI-powered devices like speech recognition software and smart home devices can help people with mobility or speech impairments to communicate and control their environment.

• The great scientist Stephen Hawking also used this AI to communicate.

• Early detection and diagnosis of diseases.

Advantages of using AI in household activities

• virtual assistants like Siri is an examples of AI that is helpful to us by accessing our contact, identifying the number which we like to call and making a call.

• There is a robot that uses AI for cooking, cleaning etc.

• Nowadays students must learn AI, machine learning and deep learning to get more salary in future.

• AI has a future scope.

• To survive in this technical world we should also change to survive.

Disadvantages of using AI:

Having an advantage it also has disadvantages

• AI is faster and wiser than humans. So, the work for humans will decrease.

• Many of the workers will be jobless.

• Lack of emotions while working.

• It will cause harm if a system fails.

• It leads to a risk of extinction.

• AI is bad for the environment too.

• AI is Too costly.

there are too many disadvantages to using AI.

How to use AI safely without affecting humans?

• Make use of AI efficiently.

• Use only when it needs.

• The human must take control over AI but AI should not take control over humans.

• Students must learn Artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning not only to get a high salary but also to learn how to create AI and how to use it efficiently without affecting the environment and humans.

Few reasons why AI can't replace humans at work:

• AI lacks Emotional Intelligence.

• AI can only work with inputted data.

• AI's creative process is limited to the data it receives.
• Humans make AI work.

• AI is meant to complement Human ability and intelligence, not to compete with it.

• AI needs to be fact-checked. We shouldn't believe AI blindly. If we ask a question to chat GPT, the given answer should be checked by us.

CONCLUSION:

The Technical world creates many creations we can't stop or we can't stop using it.

The only thing we can do is Use the creations wisely without destructing our world and species.
