‘Apeejay has been fantastic’

Apeejay Newsroom recently had the pleasure of speaking with Mrs. Mane, mother of Tanish Vasant Mane, a 9th-grade student, to gain insights into their family’s experience with our school.

Why did you choose Apeejay School for your children?

We chose Apeejay for Tanish because my elder daughter, Poorva, was also a student here until 10th grade. We had heard many good things about Apeejay and found the school very convenient for us. Poorva did exceptionally well, scoring 94% in her 10th grade, so it was a natural choice for Tanish too.

How has Apeejay contributed to Tanish’s development?

Apeejay has been fantastic. The teachers are friendly and kind, which has helped Tanish a lot. He was very shy and wouldn’t talk to anyone who visited our home. Now, he speaks confidently with everyone. Academically, the school is excellent and focuses on overall development.

Can you share some examples of Tanish’s participation in school activities?

Tanish participates in all school activities. Last year, he even performed in the annual day dance. In contrast, Poorva played Sarojini Naidu in the annual day event. It’s wonderful to see him so active and engaged.

How do you find communication with the teachers?

The communication with teachers is great. We have a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) every month, which not all schools offer. The teachers are cooperative and patiently listen to our queries. They are like second mothers to the children.

How attached are your children to the school and teachers?

Both my kids are very attached to the school and their teachers. They rarely miss school, even when they are unwell. They love going to school every day.

How has the school environment impacted their friendships and studies?

Tanish has made really good friends who are also excellent in studies. The school’s syllabus is so good that my children have never needed extra tuition. Their concepts are always clear, thanks to the school’s teaching methods.

Would you recommend Apeejay to other parents?

Absolutely. I have recommended this school to many, including my sister, whose children are now also studying at Apeejay because of my recommendation.

How does the school support mental and physical health?

As doctor parents, we value mental health highly. Apeejay provides a supportive environment with enough physical exercises to balance physical and mental fitness. The school has handled both my children’s teenage years exceptionally well, which is crucial during this period of hormonal changes.

Were there any concerns you had about your children’s teenage years, and how did the school address them?

We were worried about the typical teenage distractions and hormonal imbalances. But the school has been amazing in managing these issues. They spend most of their time at school, so the school’s role was crucial, and Apeejay has done a fantastic job. Our kids are really happy and well-adjusted.
