Marvel Studios has announced that the third installment of the "Ant-Man" franchise, "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania", will be released on February 17, 2023. The film will see the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang (Ant-Man), Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne (The Wasp), and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.

The movie is directed by Peyton Reed, who helmed the first two films, and is written by Jeff Loveness. According to Reed, the film will take the audience deeper into the Quantum Realm, which was first introduced in the original "Ant-Man" movie.

The Quantum Realm is a subatomic dimension where time and space are irrelevant, and the laws of physics don't apply. In the first film, Lang was able to enter the Quantum Realm and return to our world, which was previously thought impossible. In the second film, Hope's mother, Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), was revealed to have been trapped in the Quantum Realm for years.

In "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania", the characters will have to deal with the consequences of their actions in the Quantum Realm. The villain of the film is reportedly Kang the Conqueror, a time-traveling villain from the comics who is known for his intelligence and cunning. He will be played by Jonathan Majors, who recently starred in the critically acclaimed TV series "Lovecraft Country".

The addition of Kang the Conqueror to the MCU is significant, as the character has connections to several other Marvel villains, including Doctor Doom and Galactus. Fans have speculated that Kang could be the key to introducing the Fantastic Four and the X-Men to the MCU.

The film will also introduce a new hero to the MCU, Cassie Lang, who will be played by Kathryn Newton. In the comics, Cassie is Scott's daughter, who becomes a superhero herself under the name Stature. It remains to be seen how the character will be portrayed in the film.

Another interesting aspect of "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" is the return of the character of Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen. Ghost was the antagonist in the second film and was revealed to have been cured of her condition at the end of the movie. It's unclear how the character will fit into the story of the third film.

The "Ant-Man" movies have been known for their humor and lighthearted tone, and it's likely that "Quantumania" will continue in that vein. However, the film is also expected to delve deeper into the mythology of the Quantum Realm and explore the implications of time travel, which were introduced in "Avengers: Endgame".

In addition to the returning cast members, "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" will also feature the return of Michael Peña as Luis, Lang's friend and business partner, and David Dastmalchian as Kurt, a member of Lang's crew. Randall Park will also reprise his role as Agent Jimmy Woo, who was last seen in the TV series "WandaVision".

Overall, "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" promises to be an exciting addition to the MCU, as it continues to explore the Quantum Realm and the possibilities of time travel. With a talented cast and crew, as well as the introduction of new characters and a major Marvel villain, the film is sure to delight audiences and leave them eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the MCU.

It's a good movie for kids rather than adults, which Marvel fans will enjoy watching.
