AMD Has Been Growing Net Revenue At a Constant Pace

AMD's recent net revenue is growing with steady upward momentum as shown in the graph. The data clearly shows the potential future growth in net revenue. AMD mentioned that the company expects to drive a greater than 35% revenue compound annual growth rate (CAGR), a non-GAAP operating margin greater than 35%, and non-GAAP earnings per share exceeding $20 in the coming years.
Data Center Segment Revenue Declines on Q2, June 28 2025, However, Overall Growth Remains Steady

There was a dip on Q2 June 28, 2025 for data center segment, the company mentioned the Trump administration’s ban on the sale of its accelerator to China, which resulted in $800 million in costs during the quarter and led to an operating loss of $155m, compared to $743 million in income during Q2 2024.
Despite the quarter-over-quarter loss posted by the data center segment, the total represented a year-over-year (YoY) increase of 14 percent, primarily driven by growth in CPU revenue and market share gains across cloud and enterprise customers. For Q2 2025, AMD posted total revenues of $7.7 billion, up 32 percent YoY and three percent higher than the previous quarter.
For Q3 2025 after the dip, AMD posted record revenue for its data center segment, 22 percent Year-Over-Year (YoY) and 34 percent Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) growth in Q3 2025. Totaling $4.3 billion for the quarter and beyond analyst expectations, the company said the growth was driven by strong demand for its CPUs and GPUs.
Despite the macro factor is complicated especially Trump administration’s ban on export to China, AMD has been steadily growing its market share and revenue.
Long-Term Growth Target For Stagnant Embedded Segment
For embedded segment, it has been holding steady, however, the company is extending its leadership in adaptive computing, expects to exceed 70% revenue market share and plans to expand its Embedded segment opportunities to include growth from embedded x86 and semi-custom silicon markets.
AMD Is Expecting Further Growth
- Based on its leadership product portfolio, AMD expects to deliver a greater than 60% revenue CAGR for its data center business and greater than 10% revenue CAGR across its Embedded and Client and Gaming businesses.
- As AMD extends its multi-generational AMD EPYC CPU portfolio, it is positioned to lead the server market and expects to achieve more than 50% server CPU revenue market share. In data center AI, AMD aims to drive revenue CAGR of more than 80%, powered by strong customer momentum and next-generation AMD Instinct products and systems.
- Across Client and Gaming, AMD continues to strengthen its leadership with expanding enterprise adoption and a growing portfolio of AMD Ryzen processors. The company expects to exceed 40% client revenue market share while building on a base of more than one billion AMD-based gaming devices5 and three generations of leadership consoles.
