A Quick Strategy to Create an Awesome Webinar Your Audience will Love
Strategies to create the webinar

According to the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, a webinar is an online event that is hosted by an organization/company and broadcast to a select group of individuals through their computers via the Internet. (A webinar is sometimes also referred to as a “webcast”, “online event”, or “web seminar”.)
Webinars are an effective form of content marketing. They allow businesses to educate their audiences, showcase products to them, and build relationships with potential buyers.
Do you know? According to a search, since 2010, webinars have been increasing each year. Specifically, B2B webinars have increased from below 1,000 seminars per annum to over 4,000 seminars per annum on a single platform.
Webinars are an excellent tool for educating and advertising products and services. Internal meetings happen on the webinars. You can use webinars to spread awareness about your company, products, and services.
Webinars can take place on various apps like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, etc.
Webinars need a host, server, and audience. It can be planned or spontaneous, depending on the host. It is considered to be safe and most professional with planning and preparation.
It doesn’t matter what the personality type of the host is. They can make the script and practice and become perfect at delivering their part. You can do so by creating a lesson plan for the webinar. The lesson plan is an important part of the quick strategy to create your awesome webinar.
Lesson plans outline the whole webinar, from objectives to the feedback channel. Here is the quick strategy to create an awesome webinar.
Let’s understand the lesson plan of the webinar:
It is the most important component of the quick strategy to create an awesome webinar your audience will love.

- Need assessment:
You need to check the need for your webinar. Is this solving any problem for your audience? Will it add value to them?
- Learning aim:
If your answer to the above question is positive, think about what value it will add? You need to mention the objectives of the webinar and what your audience will achieve after the completion of the webinar.
- Learning style:
You need to take care of your audience's learning style. What type of your audience is there? What type of method of learning do they follow? There are three types of learners:
- Visual learners: they are those people who prefer learning through images, videos, etc. In the presentation, videos will be a brilliant method to add value to them. For visual learners, I have a masterclass to serve them.
- Auditory learners: they are those people who prefer listening to writing or watching. They want the host to speak and explain rather than just play the video.
- Kinesthetic learners: they are those people who prefer to feel and experience things. These people need hands-on training.
- Delivery mode:
What will be the delivery mode? On which platform will you deliver the webinar? Will it be on Zoom, LinkedIn live, Microsoft Teams, etc?
- Budget:
You need to hop upon the financial part of the webinar. Are you doing it for free or for some price? What will it cost to hold a webinar, what will be your expenses, what amount will you keep for yourself? In total, what will you ask from the audience?
- Delivery style:
What will be your delivery style? How will you make your training interesting? Whether you will keep an interactive and engaging session or you will keep it monotonous and at last you will ask questions? You need to decide to avoid any confusion in the live webinar.
- Audience:
Who will be your target audience? Who is facing that problem of which solution you are going to provide? How will you attract that audience? How will you keep the audience engaged most of the time, so they get stuck to your webinar?
- Content development:
What is the content that you intend to deliver at the webinar? Prepare a presentation of it, keep the sticky notes handy to avoid any unfortunate situation.
- Script:
You can also write the script of what you will say, how you will introduce yourself, the icebreakers, quotes, facts, questions and answers, everything that you want to say. You just do not have to write it down and need to practice it 10 to 20 times so that you don’t get baffled.
Just sticking to your script is also not a good idea. You need to add some of your thoughts, react to the situation, and put some random and spontaneous thoughts related to the topic.
When you prepare and practice your webinar, you respect the time of the people; you are well prepared; you have added value.
- Communication:
This is the section where you need to decide how you communicate to the audience about the webinar. Will you send them a flyer, emails, texts, calls, etc? What are the mediums that your audience uses the most?
- Feedbacks:
In the end, you need to measure the effectiveness. How effective was your webinar? Has anyone gained any value? You can do it by asking them to fill out the feedback form, or you can ask them directly. You can host a small test at the end to test their understanding of the webinar. Feedback is the last yet must step of the quick strategy to create an awesome webinar your audience will love.
Webinars are a great tool to share your knowledge and educate the world. You can record your webinars. You can make clips of each topic that you have discussed or the feedback conversation and post it as promotion too. What do you think about the webinars, and which points will you keep in your mind while attending and hosting a webinar in the future?
