6 Study Tips for Lazy Students

I was too lazy to think of more, but maybe these will help.

We've all been there. You know you should really study, but you're too tired. "I'll do it later" you tell yourself. Then it is later, and still no studying has been done. Well my fellow lazy studiers, here are some tips to keep you productive even when your energy levels are low. Happy studying!

Just a little disclaimer: I'm not saying these are methods you have to use, these are just some suggestions to help you out if you're finding it hard to focus on studying. Everyone learns differently, so use what works for you or adapt some of these methods to suit your learning style! So, onto the tips!

1. Little and often

Thinking of doing everything at once is just gonna put you off doing it even more. There's a whole textbook chapter to get through?! You have to learn 100 new words?! Fear not. Do it a paragraph at a time. Break it down into chunks of 10 words. You don't have to sit down and do it all in one go, you can do a little bit here and there, and it will be done in no time.

2. Use apps

Technology is a wonderful thing- use it to your advantage! If you can't be bothered to study from a textbook or search for information online, find an app that breaks it down and makes it easy to understand. Some popular ones are Memrise and Quizlet for flashcards, and they have courses for such a wide range of topics you're bound to find what you're looking for. Plus this makes it super easy to study anywhere at any time, so there are no excuses!

3. Listen to the information

If you need to review information from a lecture, buy a cheap audio recorder on Amazon (or just use your phone) to record what the lecturer is saying so you can listen back to it whenever you want. You can also record yourself saying the key points to listen to. This will help a lot, especially if you read along with your notes to try and absorb as much as possible. There are also podcasts available for different topics online. It's a super easy way to study and you can do it anywhere!

4. Watch videos

There is bound to be an informational video on the topic you're looking for. Videos are much more engaging than staring blankly at a page in a textbook, and having information given in a video format (with sound and text/pictures) will help you remember it since it will be more engaging to your senses. Plus it takes zero effort to watch a video. Just sit back, relax, and learn.

5. Create something visual

Getting crafty is a lot of fun, so it won't feel like such a chore while you learn. You can create mind maps, tables, posters, anything that's relevant to what you're studying. Then put it up on your walls!! If it's somewhere you will easily see it, like next to your desk or above your bed, you will be exposed to the material without having to think too much about it, so you'll actually pick a lot of information up without trying too hard.

6. Just start

"Easier said than done!" you scoff. Hear me out. The toughest part of anything is starting it. But once you start, it becomes so much easier to keep going. If you follow tip 1 and just set yourself a little bit to do, you may well find it easier to carry on than to stop. You just have to get the momentum going, and once you do there will be no stopping you!

Personal notes of study material will be a valuable tool in preparing for exams and tests. After reading the summary, you can restore in memory the information learned in a short time. It takes experience and time to write really cool work. Not everyone has such an opportunity, personally they helped me a lot with this here https://typemyessay.me/service/buy-custom-essay/

This interests me as well. Students frequently find themselves in situations where they require extra assistance with their academics.
