40 Virtues and Blessings of Reciting Durood Sharif

1. Obedience to Divine Command: Reciting Durood Sharif is in accordance with the command of Allah Almighty.


2. A Means of Gaining Allah’s Pleasure: Sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) earns the pleasure of the Lord.


3. Agreement with Divine and Angelic Action: Allah and His angels themselves send blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), as mentioned in the Qur’an:
(“Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet.”)


4. A Way to Draw Near to Allah: Regular recitation brings a person spiritually closer to Allah.


5. A Ladder to the Recognition of the Divine: It leads to deep spiritual understanding and closeness to Allah.


6. Ten Mercies Descend Upon the One Who Recites It Once: Every time a person recites Durood once, Allah sends ten mercies upon them.

8. Ten Ranks Are Elevated: For every Durood, the believer is raised ten degrees in spiritual rank.
