11 Productivity Myths that are Ruining your life in 2023
There are many productivity myths that are actually unproductive.....Let's Bust them !!!!

1. Multitasking is a great way to work
It is often said multitasking is good but that is not true... Doing many tasks at the same time divides your attention and not even a single task is done properly. So instead do various tasks throughout the day but do one task at a time togive it your best.
2. Working Continously at a task is the best way to get it done
Stop when you get tired doing a task. There is a technique called Pomodoro Technique according to which you work /study for 25 mins then take a break for 5 mins in which you can close your eyes, Listen to music or anything that soothes your mind but stay away from social media, 4-5 sessions as such helps you increase productivity as you take a small amount of time to rejuvinate yourself.
3. If I get more time for this task, then i will do it better
Parkinson's law is the adage that "work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion." If a certain task takes 2 hrs to complete and we give ourselves 5 hrs to complete it, it is going to take 5 hrs to complete as the work expands but you have to keep in mink to omplete it in 2 hrs itself.
4. Doing more is always better
Pareto Analysis states that 80% of result is from 20% input, hence in all tasks, doing always more is not necessary doing less and being effecient can give great results, and most of the time doing more is a waste of time and efforts
5. Distraction is always wrong
You will get distracted while doing a task no matter what, telling yourself to not get distracted does not help, rather alloting a time to get distracted is more productive, while doing a task, allow yourself some distraction during a particular time, so whenever you start getting distracted you can tell yourself you have an alloted time so currently you can focus.
6. You have to stay connected to the world to win & be productive
You always don't have to know everything to be productive, don't live in the fear of FOMO, rather limit your consumption of news and information sources, the information necessary for you will reach you through those sources.
7. Those people sleep who don't want to win in life
When you are well rested, your capacity to perform tasks increases and you can do your work effectively and effeciently. When you are tired and overworked it starts to effect your productivity. Minimum 6-7 hrs of sleep is necessary to function properly.
8. People who plan are inflexible in life
"Failing to Plan is planning to fail." Planning is very essential to carry out day to day tasks but planning does not mean you are inflexible, planning helps to create a schedule and defines what tasks you have to complete on a certain time period, but planning can be flexible.
9. People with routine are very boring in Life
Routine helps living the life in a descipline, but routines are not rigid , and following a routine does not mean that you can not have any other activities in your life, it simply helps us to live life in a balance.
10. Being busy is being productive
Being busy is not always productive. Learn to do tasks in short time . Don't be busy unnecessary and be unproductive, attending unnessary meetings. Learn to be effecient.
11. Day dreaming is wrong
Day dreaming is not wrong, again remember Pomodro analysis, during your break you can relax yourself by dreaming. It is a good tool for relaxing
