What I'd Cook for Gordon Ramsay
Chloe's Homemade Tomato Sauce Recipe

Merry Christmas Vocal!!
My partner gave me the idea to write this post, after a long Christmas season. We love binge watching Gordon Ramsay’s Hell's Kitchen together. I've always said listening to Gordon Ramsay yell at the contestants kind of feels like therapy. I live for it. I've binge watched Kitchen Nightmares with him as well as Hotel Hell but we truly enjoy watching Hell's Kitchen the most.
So after watching a contestant serve Gordon, jarred spaghetti sauce and witnessing him spit it out, I thought I'd share my recipe for my homemade sauce that both my partner and kids rave over- I truly think cooking for someone is an act of love. I love cooking for my family. My picky 4-year old even loves this dish. With only 45 minutes to serve a signature dish, THIS is what I would choose to make Chef Gordon Ramsay.
Chloe's Homemade Meat Sauce
• 3- 4 large tomatoes cut into wedges
• I container baby tomatoes
• 3 cloves of garlic
• half an onion cut into wedges
• Season with onion powder, salt & pepper, garlic, Italian seasoning and drizzle oil all over the vegetables
Roast vegetables @ 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes
While the sauce is roasting in the oven, I tend to brown beef, pork, wild game, meatballs, etc in a large pan with diced onions and a little salt and pepper. When tomatoes can be poked with a fork and are mushy, take them out and let cool before blending, or processing in a food processor.
Season sauce to taste. My secret? To neutralize the acidity of the tomatoes, I add a teaspoon of brown sugar. Why brown sugar? I ran out of white sugar one day and resorted to using brown sugar and happened to like the way the sauce tasted better than when I had used the white sugar.
While blending sauce, boil water for pasta. I personally despise long noodles and opt for penne instead. Don't forget to finish browning your meat!
Drain meat, and add sauce to the pan. Feel free to add spinach or mushrooms to the sauce. When I have time at home, I like to throw it in the slow cooker or bake it. But it tastes so fresh and way better than jarred tomato sauce.
And I LOVE adding dried chili peppers and parmesan to my finished pasta dish for just myself. I love spice in food.
So this sums up what I'd serve Gordon Ramsay as a contestant on Hell's Kitchen. I'm assuming I'd get at least a 3/5 in the Chef's mind.
I hope you guys enjoyed something a little different on my page. I love food and cooking. I love learning new recipes and sharing old ones as well.

I also have to mention, I wrote this on my Kindle Scribe. I was amazed at the device that I received for Christmas this year and what it is all capable of. The screen is perfect for electronic writing. I love that only the pen works to write with as my hand drags across the screen slightly.
The screen is also huge compared to my son's Kindle Paperwhite he received for Christmas. I couldn't help but compare the two devices. The price difference is pretty big but if you love to write, this is the device for you. You can even send the finished documents to your email to view as a PDF file or a text file. Then I went to my computer and converted the file to a Vocal post with minimal editing.
Well, that is all for now Vocal!
Again, Merry Christmas of you celebrate, and a Happy New Year to you all. Wishing you guys nothing but health and happiness in the New Year.

I love Chef Ramsay, too! Like you, I also make my own spaghetti sauce and add brown sugar. My recipe is very similar to yours. Bet he would give it a Michelin!
On the other hand, I only love food and not cooking :)
