Time Travelling Touring

Worldwide Traveller Airways Transcontinental International Flight #1940 peacefully continued its routine journey over the gigantic pond allowing Kaikes Keliatojas the opportunity to recline the chair.
“TT what are you doing?” She asked her free spirit companion.
“Confirming our B&B hotel reservations,” TT responded, “there done.”
“Oh, how I will relish this trip back in time,”
“And we should be able to reflect upon things,” TT added, “remember do not touch or alter the situation.”
Suddenly, a shaking sensation encompassed the small tube and over the intercom an announcement, “passengers of WTA flight #1940 we have hit a bit of turbulence, could you please return to your seats and place them in an upright position while fastening the safety belts.” Conforming KK quickly did what was asked then turned her attention to the window.
“What is that?” KK blurted out, “I just saw this white thing out there.”
“Probably just a weather balloon,”
“Your right,” KK relaxed putting her head on the rest behind her, “that is all it is, just a nice weather balloon.”

Saturday morning arrived and KK opened her eyes from a dark dream, peering up she saw a vintage early 20th century calendar featuring an American pin up girl, marketed as inspiring ‘winning a war’. Starting to become alert, she distanced herself from the sleepy trance and the year 1940 came into focus along with the date June 15.
“TT,” she whispered, “is that you?”
“Yes, KK, it’s me,” a voice confirmed.
“Where are we?” KK continued.
“The bed and breakfast I booked on the internet,” TT removed the sheets, “what day is it?”
“June 15, 1940,” KK answered.
Sounding like thunder the plane endured earlier, disturbing rumbling downstairs brought the pair back to reality. “Should we see what is going on?”
“Sure,” KK agreed, leaving the beds, slowly opening the wooden door.
Not making a sound the two crept over to the one staircase that led to the registration desk,
“What’s going on down there?” KK whispered.
“It looks like the military wants a room,” TT reported.
That is when the volume to the dramatic stage show increased, “I would like to secure the cottage out there,” the uniform individual ordered.
“For how long?” The Proprietor required clarification.
Deadly silence responded and the owner continued, “you can have it as long as you want, my only stipulations are, no blood on my carpet or property,” then he paused, “and especially not in my republic.”
Seeing this theatrical presentation play out KK and TT gasped wondering, when the visitor's visa expires.

“What are you doing, TT?”
“Same thing, the last time you gave me the third degree,” TT explained, “I am confirming our reservations at the bed and breakfast.”
Abruptly, a screeching sound interrupted their conversation, “I am your Captain and want to welcome you aboard WTA flight #1990,” the message recording sounded, “I would like to first apologize for the long time between these connecting aerial voyages, and ensure you, it will be clear sailing for the remainder of the trip.”
“TT,” KK informed, “that white thing is still out there.”
“I tell you,” TT comforted, “it’s just a weather balloon.”

Boisterous shouting and cheering woke KK as she propped herself up in bed, only to be greeted by a pin up girl calendar, stating March 11, 1990.
“TT,” KK exclaimed, “something is going on here.”
“Must be a celebration,” TT retorted getting out of bed.
“Let’s go check it out,”
Following the same path, they did nearly fifty years ago the intrepid duo found a vantage point to witness another historical event but in this chapter the action was opposite, independence instead of an occupied state scenario.
As the proprietor's grandson offered, “would you like to sign our guest book?", staring the elderly guardsman honestly in the eye, welcoming the enemy soldier’s reply, “I truly am inspired by your grit for the past half century.” And this response resulted in a kind retaliation, “hope you enjoyed your stay but don’t come back.”
Seeing this dialogue performed made both KK and TT gulp.

Not much later Worldwide Traveller Airways flight #1990 descended to the ground releasing KK and TT. Soon they grabbed proper transportation and started exploring.
“This is a beautiful country,” KK commented, “but where are we?”
“I have no clue,” TT said about the destination
“Wow,” KK pointed towards the sky, “there is that white thing.”
“Only means, we are going to have good weather to tour.”
Allowing a few minutes to pass KK turned to TT, “why is your name TT?”
“Oh, that stands for time traveler,”
“Um,” Kaikes Keliatojas respectfully mumbled feeling at home.
