Price Adjustments

Perspective

As an author, I should have seen this coming. I have been working my butt off for almost six months promoting my first novel and I continue to wonder why sales aren't generating. Thankfully, I have the ability to learn from my mistakes. The Draconus Wars I put up for $24.99, Paperback, thinking it was in Canadian Pricing. Ah, what a surprise, my Ingram Spark measures primarily in USD, not CAD. So, I priced my book almost 10$ Canadian higher than I had expected to sell it for. So thankfully The Draconus Wars, is now going through a pricing adjustment. I wish I knew of this before I published it at first, as it probably would have generated more sales. I also would have looked into more promotions for the book.

Correcting the Prices

I was afraid to update the prices because I have found videos online about similar stuff and them being charged the extra $49 USD for changing a book's relevant things. So I went in and swallowed my worry, as for me right now, just starting, that is a big re-investment.

Since IngramSpark

Ingram Spark I thought was going to end up being my best situation when I first published but since I prefer Draft2Digital and Amazon's KDP. I find their free basis is a lot better, If I had a little extra money, Ingram would be worthwhile as they do have some decent access to listings and promotional tools that I haven't found anywhere else. However, Draft2Digital and KDP both have a lot more resources and income possibilities, seeing as Draft2Digital has a site called Books2Read, Where you can earn affiliate incomes by adding your affiliate links to the link-building tool they provide. if you don't care to have that feature, just let it build your book links for you.

What Is 'The Draconus Wars'?

So by now, you may be wondering what The Draconus Wars is, it was my debut dark fantasy novel I released in October of 2022. It went on to being placed on the UK-Talk-Radio's Best Reads Of 2022 list (on this list you will see I am a competitor of Stephen King). This dark fantasy novel will lead you through twists and turns as you see the new being Flamose rise to rule his own race, The Draconus. The Draconus are considered highly intelligent and very strong in their souls and physical bodies. they originally were designed by this world's antagonist, Seth. The daughter of Seth ends up stumbling across Flamose's Laboratory and influencing Flamose into rising up against Seth. With Kisira and his race by his side, he aims to free them all from his clutches.

What Else Have You Released?

If you're interested in seeing the rest of what I have published since the initial release of 'The Draconus Wars'. I am working on a trending book on Inkspired called 'A Witches Life: The Bloodline Curse' And is also in the Fantasy Genre like 'The Draconus Wars'. I also released a short story, 'Of Ash And Flames' and a poetry book called 'The Roze Collection'. I also have another fantasy project underway as an anticipated standalone called 'Coming Of The Reaper' which is a fantasy-based novel. These works each have their own unique stance for the genre that they sit in, or at least I find it to be that way.
