My Husband is a Luciferian; I’m a Christian: How we make it work
It’s a constant struggle, I’m not gonna lie

I am a Christian, and my husband was too, until 2021. One day, truly out of the blue, my husband decided he wanted to renounce his faith in Jesus Christ and become a Luciferian.
According to research, “One type of Luciferianism is the worship or reverence of Lucifer as a deity. Such religion is related to Satanism — though it attempts to emphasize the more “positive” aspects of Lucifer. Another type of Luciferianism is nontheistic and views Lucifer as nothing more than a symbol of mankind’s quest for wisdom and enlightenment.”
His behavior started getting more and more bizarre. First, he decorated a small corner of our living room with statues of Lucifer, Lilith, Baphomet, etc. He wanted to put Pazuzu up, but I said I had to draw the line. He was turning out living room into a den of demons.
You see, back some time ago, we got an infestation of bed bugs. Probably from the woman who lived upstairs from us. So we had to throw out all of our beds and buy new ones. At the time, we couldn’t afford large beds so we just bought 3 twin beds, two for the kids and one for me. My husband decided he wanted to sleep in the living room on a sleeping bag on the floor. He was a night person who stayed up most of the night watching TV, watching YouTube videos, listening to loud music, etc. So I was okay when he made the decision to start sleeping in a separate bedroom than me.
So he thinks the living room is his room. And so I let him put the statues up without putting up too much of a fight.
But then he started ordering from Amazon candles, and tarot cards, and a weird black cape. He even told me one time when he was alone and no one was home that he walked around the house naked in that cape lighting incense and praying to his spiritual entities.
I thought it was sort of bizarre. But that was nothing, then sometimes in the middle of the night I would wake up to strange sounds in the living room at 1 AM. I would open the door ever so slightly not knowing what was in store. He had candles lit up and was kneeling on the floor on some cloth that had weird symbols on it. And he was cutting his fingers so blood would come out. I didn’t want any part of it so I closed the door.
Then one time he told me that he was masturbating and putting his semen on some type of piece of paper for whatever reason, I didn’t understand. Then he would burn pictures of people he didn’t like. It was like he was making a curse on them or something.
Then he would start saying weird things to me like, “Just be careful when you drive, I had a vision that you were going to be involved in a car accident.” I drive for DoorDash and Uber so I drive a lot and for a whole week I was worried that I would get into a car accident.
I’m sure you are wondering where my children fit into all of this. Well, my oldest daughter is also a Christian and she ignores most of what he does. My youngest daughter who is about 14, is curious about what he does but doesn’t pay it much mind.
We all just listen to him go on and on all the time about how he wishes God would “Suck his di@$” and all the Jesus-bashing that he does really gets on my nerves. I try to drown it out by staying mostly in my room when I am home.
I’m sure at this point you are wondering why I stay with the man.
Well, for one, we have two beautiful children who, in spite of everything, love their dad. #2 I love my husband because we have been married for over 20 years and I took a vow to love him through the good and bad. He actually stuck with me when I was at my worst, so I try to be patient with this part of him.
Only time will tell whether he will do something that I just can’t tolerate anymore. Until then, I just keep on loving him…unconditionally.
