LORD, I’ve Messed Up…

Juliana Carros sat alone in her dimly lit apartment, her body trembling as she clutched a pillow to her chest. The weight of her decision pressed down on her like a heavy storm cloud, suffocating her spirit. Tears streamed down her face as she whispered into the stillness, her voice trembling with desperation.

“GOD… are You there? Do You even care anymore?”

A voice, soft yet powerful, filled the room, breaking through the silence like a gentle light piercing the darkness.

“Juliana, My beloved child, I have always been here.”

She froze, her breath caught in her throat. The voice felt so near, so real. She glanced around the room, her heart pounding.

“No… this can’t be real. You wouldn’t come for someone like me.”

“Someone like you? Tell Me, Juliana, who do you think I came for?”

Her voice cracked as she responded, “Not for me. I’ve gone too far. I’ve done the unthinkable.”

The tears came harder now, her words breaking under the weight of her guilt. “I ended my baby’s life, GOD. I knew it was wrong, but I did it anyway. I chose to have an abortion, and now… now I can’t even forgive myself. How could You forgive me?”

“Juliana, listen to Me,” the voice said gently. “I know your pain. I saw every tear, every sleepless night, every whispered regret.”

She cried out, her voice shaking with anguish. “Then why didn’t You stop me? Why didn’t You stop me from making the worst decision of my life?”

“Because I gave you the gift of choice, Juliana. And though your choice broke My heart, I never stopped loving you.”

Her head shook violently, her hands gripping the pillow tighter. “No… You couldn’t still love me. How could You? I destroyed something You created. I destroyed someone You loved.”

“Juliana,” the voice said with unwavering gentleness, “My love for you isn’t based on your actions. It is based on who I am. I am love, and My love for you has no end.”

She sobbed harder, her voice barely audible. “But I killed my own baby. How could Jesus die for someone like me?”

“Yes, Juliana, you made a choice that grieves My heart,” the voice responded, firm yet full of compassion. “But My Son, JESUS, died to pay for that sin. Do you think the cross wasn’t enough for you?”

She froze, her mind racing. “The cross?” she whispered.

“Juliana, My Son carried your guilt, your shame, your every tear, to the cross. He cried out, ‘It is finished,’ so you could be free.”

“Free?” she repeated, her voice breaking. “How can I be free when I feel so chained to what I’ve done?”

“Let Me break those chains,” the voice said. “Surrender them to Me. I am not asking for your perfection, Juliana. I am asking for your heart.”

“But it hurts,” she cried. “The pain, the regret—it’s unbearable.”

“Then let Me bear it for you,” the voice replied, tender yet insistent. “My arms are wide open, waiting to hold you, to heal you.”

Her hands shook as she covered her face. “I don’t deserve this,” she whispered.

“You’re right, you don’t,” the voice said, now gentle and firm. “But grace isn’t about what you deserve—it’s about what I give. My grace is sufficient for you, Juliana.”

“What do I do now?” she asked, her voice trembling with a glimmer of hope.

“Come to Me. Lay your burden at My feet. Trust in My Son, JESUS. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Through Him, you will find forgiveness, healing, and a new beginning.”

She hesitated, her voice barely above a whisper. “Can You really give me a second chance?”

“Not just a second chance, My child. I offer you a new life. If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old is gone; the new has come.”

She nodded slowly, the tears still falling. “I don’t know if I can, but I want to try.”

“You don’t have to do it alone,” the voice assured her. “My Spirit will guide you. Remember, Juliana, you are not defined by your mistakes. You are defined by My love.”

Epilogue

That night, Juliana knelt on her living room floor, tears streaming down her face, her body trembling as she whispered her broken prayers. The dim room seemed to hold its breath, and in the stillness, she felt a warmth unlike anything she had known—a love she couldn’t explain but could no longer deny.

Have Mercy LORD…

The weight she carried began to lift as the light of hope broke through her darkness. She realized that forgiveness wasn’t something she had to earn; it was something GOD had already given her through JESUS CHRIST.

Juliana’s journey didn’t end there. It was only the beginning. Slowly, she learned to let go of her shame and walk in the freedom of grace. Her scars became a testament to GOD’s mercy, and her story a lifeline for others drowning in guilt.

Final Note

If you feel weighed down by your past, remember this: GOD’s grace is greater than your deepest shame. No matter what you’ve done—even if it feels unforgivable—His love for you remains steadfast.

Come to Him, just as Juliana did. Surrender your burdens at the cross and let Him make you new.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Today can be the start of your new life! Will you trust Him with your heart? Would you take that step of faith?
