Iron-Man Shot

One of the funniest things I have ever witnessed

*Based on true events. All of the things listed below, I do not recommend doing in a bar, even if I found them funny at the time that they happened.*

I work in a bar part-time. I love serving customers because some of the things that I have experienced absolutely make my day.

I started about a year ago and I fell in love with the job. It is perfect for me. I've broken up a few bar fights now, I gained more confidence in myself than I ever could have known and I made a few lifelong friends along the way too.

We do Wing nights and Steak nights at the bar I work at but my favourite time of night was right around 10:30-11 when the younger crowd started coming in. It wasn't every weekend but it was always lively when the whole crew would come in.

I never really went out much before I started working in the bar, I mean how could I? I had two young kids at home to think about.

We used to have a DJ that played on Saturdays and those were some of my favourite nights to work. (I'm not a fan of country music but we actually got to listen to some decent tunes on Saturday nights.)

One of my first weekends working in the bar, some out of town customer got one of our regulars to pierce their nose. (I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS.) He ended up swallowing the tack she was going to use and I refused to give him another chance after that. I mean lesson learnt don't give drunk people an excuse to act out their bad choices. And no he did not end up going to the hospital afterwards.

But to me one of the funniest moments was learning what and Iron-Man shot was.

About a year and a half ago, I learnt what an Iron-Man shot was.

I do not recommend doing this. Trust me.

An Iron-Man shot, is taking a shot of tequila, snorting the salt, and squirting the lime juice in your eyes. I could not imagine the amount of pain that one must endure by doing this shot.

Apparently if you snort too much salt, you can potentially die. I laughed my ass off when the young gentleman I served performed this shot as I had never heard of it before.

I would cry doing something like that. I mean like full on cry and I love tequila. There are a few YouTube videos out there but I don't want to link them to this post just for safety reasons.

Another fun bar shot we did was where you slap someone, throw a glass of water on their face, and then they take their shot. I had so much fun slapping one of my regulars one night. I can't remember the name of this but it is super fun. Another coworker of mine recorded me doing slapping the poor gentleman. I wish I still had the video because it was pretty entertaining. But nothing will top the Iron-Man shot.

I really do not recommend doing that shot though because you could hurt yourself. It was just more of a funny party trick honestly in my opinion.

What did you think of this post about my bar adventures? Some nights were hard and long. Other nights it was a whole ass adventure waiting to unfold. I love the job and what it did for my life.

As much as I found the Iron-Man shot funny, I do not recommend it to anyone. Just a straight up tequila shot for this girl.
