I believe in Love

I believe that love is a choice as well as a feeling. Where love considers the other person faults and all. It wants, believes and hopes for the best. It doesn't just deal with the other person's BS it shines a light into it, whereby the other person sees what they need to do to fix themselves, to become better, to leave their own comfort zone because they know this person who loves them dearly is already holding them up. Is there alongside them and at the finishing line and at the next stage showing the next step. They are already believing and seeing the growth and transformation.

I believe love makes people want to be the best version of themselves. It doesn't settle, it keeps wanting to do better.

It is a driving force greater than motivation, greater than will power and greater than mighty sisu (Finnish term).

It is a force that says I have felt failure, disappointment and doubt but I trust myself and further this person really deeply trusts me. I can't see myself at that point at this moment but they believe I can get there and right now that's what I need to get started.

I believe love doesn't insist on its particulars but is able to show up in flexibility, in mercy, grace and compassion for the moment. It sees into the heart of the person who doesn't know and is willing to sit there with them as they learn to expose their weakness, their addiction, their flaw. It celebrates this power with empathy and strength.

I believe love celebrates every truth and every step. I believe a person is capable of being authentic and real, to display their not so crash hot traits because the people who matter, aren't affected by those traits they know a person isn't perfect and will display ugly traits as a measure of expression as they learn to navigate new ground.

I believe love has a strength like no other. It respects time and space, people and differences. It speaks in a special way to each heart, that resounds the beating life of that person. It can be found all around if one is open to see it.

Love cares for the people and the differences they bring to each moment.

I believe when people love each other they want to do their best for that person continually. They may not always realise their errors but they can lean on their partner to find those truths and do their part to grow.

I believe it is entirely the ability of love that transforms partners, to see and know deeply about each other. Love is the window to see the soul and heart God implanted into that special dusty shell and embrace each other with richness. It is a type of closeness that cannot be matched. When other attractions come near, partners are unswayed because of the deep resounding, heart beating, fully accepting and deeply desiring soul love.

Love cannot be controlled, hidden, or put away in a box to define it's character or test it's limits. Love is daring, captivating, and ruthless. It will seep out of every containment, every measure and every box. It wants to be seen; it desires to be felt.

Love waits and understands things do not need to be rushed, or anxiously decided. Love washes over the hurts and leaves a glimmer of hope in every stride.

I believe it is the power that comes from love that is able to stand the tests of time.

So when I say I love you. This is what I mean. And I am not ashamed to speak these truths. Because this love empowers me to do better.
