Beginning of a Great Friendship

I hated having to go to Math extra classes but I had to because I had a nasty encounter with a teacher the year before and I now hated the subject and had my finals looming. As a result, Saturdays were no longer peaceful and I now had to take two buses for over an hour to get to school. I knew my parents did not have much and it was a strain on them for me to take these extra classes. That was the hardest part for me, we were already poor and I felt like I was saddling the family with more stress. So I did not complain but went every Saturday. And while I don't know that it really helped because my block needed psychological help, not academic help I was grateful to them for trying to get me help.

So that Saturday morning I woke up and left the comfort of my bed and home very early so I could get to class on time. I did not have much to eat one, because I was not a big eater and two we did not have much back then. So after three hours of grueling Math activities, I left tired and hungry and a little nauseous. I did not have enough money to buy lunch so I darted to my final bus stop with no hesitation. My belly grumbled and bubbled just before going unto the bus so I had to go into the nearby Burger King to use the restroom. I thought I had adequately relieved myself so I went on the bus. Back then buses got filled up quickly and so there were usually no vacant seats. My best friend's friend was on the bus and so we chatted along our journey. His stop would be the first after we entered the city where we lived and, several times as the bus made its turns my stomach bubbled and my body erupted with nausea and weakness. I prayed as we talked and nearer to his bus stop I told him I did not feel well and might want to come by his house to use the restroom. He was fine with that so I prepared myself on how this would all play out hoping I would make it before my anus exploded.

As soon as the bus stopped I darted out the doors with him and as we made our jot to his house maybe 350 km down the road, my body grew weak and I began to feel faint. As my legs buckled he caught me and lifted me up and while carrying me almost simultaneously my body erupted and out spewed liquid putrid poop down the legs of my jeans. I was mortified and now while I can LOL back then I was too weak to acknowledge the extent of the shame that flooded my mind.

He brought me to his restroom and all I could do was climb in and lay on the ground then to the toilet and continued in the mess of situation I was facing. I vomited while I let the diarrhea flow until I was spent and then I had to recover my strength to get up and clean my mess up "and boy was it a lot". A few hours later when my pants were a little dry in the absence of a dryer I made my way home. I knew my mom was upset but I decided to take whatever she did above explaining what happened and that made it worry less for me especially knowing the crazy strict mother I had. I took the drama my mother gave for being so late without any response because I knew I would not live that story down if anybody ever found out the day "I had diarrhea and pooped my pants".

That best friend's friend became my best friend after that day and though we never spoke about it after that day I had an appreciation for his help and secrecy. To this day we are good friends and out of an utterly embarrassing scandalous moment birthed a friendship of mutual respect for life.
