Confessions of a Former Alcoholic Part 10
Now it's time to quit smoking
I don't know where you live, but quitting alcohol is truly a miracle. Even the store that sells alcohol has decided to close, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that shops should never, ever charge you for debt.
Smoking has begun to cause pain in my heart and prevents me from participating in sports. I'm sure it will cause health problems soon, so I've decided not to smoke anymore.
Alcohol destroyed me, preventing me from making promises to a woman I loved and nearly married. I learned a lot from her. She taught me how to dance the tango very well. However, given the current circumstances, it appears I must resume dancing the tango once more.
Because of this, I definitely missed the love of my life. I can tell the truth. I want to pursue her, but I don't want to transgress the boundaries of gentlemanly conduct.
Since they broke up, it's been almost three years. In that time, she became a lawyer and started her own business. She was real, so I still remember her.Everyone has a breaking point, and that was the case with me too.
I haven't been out with friends or family since that day. Since then, I've been working tirelessly. After 5 years, I was able to achieve the project I wanted, and I can finally make money, and I knew I had to stop doing everything that made me smoke since I now drink alcohol and smoke at the same time. This person has the potential to become your closest companion.
When I was in high school, I remember smoking in the bathroom. I thought cigarettes were excellent back then. There was even a race to see who could smoke the cigarette the fastest. I find it disgusting these days, but I buy tobacco company shares on the stock market because smokes are so addicting. I can especially say that such companies also invest in pharmaceutical companies.
I am trying to quit addictive substances on my own because if I get treatment for this type of addiction, there is a risk that my family will take the money I will earn, and I do not want anyone to control me.(I learned this the hard way: don't tell anyone about your addictions; there's a risk they'll be used against you.)
What else did I learn?
If you have to do business with family, don't sit at the table with them.During a deal, your family members could betray you.
No one is perfect. It's possible to be perfect, so you have to make mistakes. But they shouldn't be big ones.
Tobacco products can make people hooked right away, which is a bad thing when we compare them to booze. This is also like becoming hooked on gaming. Gambling is a game for the rich that doesn't pay off.
If you're going to develop a habit like gambling, it makes more sense to invest in the stock market. At least you're making money and getting dividends.
I'm on the stock market in the country where I live, and every year I get some dividends. Although I currently trade on my home stock exchange, I intend to soon move to the American stock exchange.
It's important to me to honor the place where I was born and raised. If you fail to treat someone with respect, I have observed individuals speaking about them with references to guns or knives. Because of this, people in the country where I live don't fight frequently.
People from my hometown generally look like they came from Texas. We like to shoot at the sun because it burns our heads a lot. Sometimes the municipality even makes an announcement saying not to shoot at the sun.
