In the quiet stillness of the morning light,

I lift my voice, so humble, in sacred flight.

Thank you, Lord, for this breath I take,

For every dawn, for the peace you make.

My heart, at times, heavy with doubt and fear,

Yet your grace whispers, always near.

Through the storm, and the winds that blow,

You are the refuge where my soul can grow.

I thank you, Lord, for the gift of need,

For in my lack, you plant the seed.

Of faith and trust, of strength unknown,

In the valley, your love is shown.

When I am lost, unsure, or weak,

You are the answer that I seek.

For every prayer, for every plea,

You hold me close, you set me free.

Do I pray for need? Yes, I do,

For without it, I would not know you.

In need, I find my soul refined,

In the struggle, your grace I find.

When hunger comes, or pain knocks at the door,

I find your presence in the depths of the war.

Thank you, Lord, for teaching me,

That in my need, you set me free.

For the need to love, and the need to care,

For the need to listen, and to share.

For the need to grow, to learn and seek,

In these desires, you make me weak.

But in my weakness, your power shines,

A strength beyond the bounds of time.

I am but clay, and you the potter's hand,

Molding my heart to understand.

I thank you, Lord, for the tears I've cried,

For in each drop, you've been beside.

In sorrow, I’ve seen your grace unfold,

In every trial, your hand to hold.

The need to forgive, the need to be whole,

The need for peace within my soul.

These prayers, I offer to you today,

Thank you, Lord, for leading the way.

In every need, I find your grace,

In every shadow, you light my place.

For the need to trust, for the need to stand,

You guide my steps with your loving hand.

And yet, Lord, I know that even in lack,

You are the bridge to bring me back.

To all that is good, to all that is true,

In every prayer, I find you anew.

Do I pray for need? Yes, indeed,

For in every want, you plant a seed.

Of gratitude, of hope, of faith unbound,

In every prayer, your love is found.

For in my need, I find my way,

Your light, my guide, each passing day.

Thank you, Lord, for showing me how,

In every moment, I feel you now.

So, as I stand with open hands,

I trust your will, I make my stand.

For every need, for every plea,

I know, O Lord, you're here with me.

I thank you, Lord, for the life I live,

For the love you give, for the grace you give.

In need, I learn to let you be,

My Savior, my strength, my guide, my plea.

Thank you, Lord, for every need,

For in my lack, your love indeed

Has taught me how to trust, to pray,

To walk in light, to find my way.

And though the road may be unclear,

I know your love will draw me near.

So, in my need, I humbly pray,

Thank you, Lord, for this blessed day.

This prayer poem reflects on the paradox of needing and thanking God for what might seem like moments of hardship. In recognizing our need, we find God's sustaining presence, love, and guidance. The prayer becomes a process of gratitude in recognizing that every need we have is also an opportunity for faith to grow.
