The English league outcome for the weekend

The weekend was fascinating with a lot of football action in play. From Friday match day 5, we saw Newcastle United, play out a 1:1 draw with Leeds United. With goals from Raphinha and Allan Saint-Maximin. Newcastle are on 2 points, as they are yet to have a win in the EPL after three losses. While Leeds are just a point above Newastle on 3 pionts after gaining three draws and two losses.
We had an intriguing Saturday match day, with features and actions from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City Included.
Early kick off started with Wolverhampton Wanderers losing to Brentford at their home ground 0:2, Even after Shandon Baptiste of Brentford was sent off. Leaving Wolves on 3 points after just a win, and four loses. While Brentford gained an additional three points to take their points tally to eight.After two wins, two draws and one loss.
Martin Oedegaard Freekick goal was enough to see Arsenal through, as they grabbed an away victory against Burnley. Arsenal hasn’t been impressive this season, as the can only boast of two wins in five matches. Leaving them at 13th position on the EPL table, after they had three losses and two wins.With just six points, in a possible fifteen Arsenal needs to step up their winning game if they wish to advance through the mid-season.
Liverpool maintained an impressive start to the premier league campaign with a deserved 3:0 against Crystal Palace. Goals from Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and Naby Keita ensured that Liverpool bagged all three points taking their point tally to 13 after four wins and a draw.While Crystal Palace stays on five points, after two losses, two draws and a win.
Manchester City, played out a goalless draw with Southampton, even though they had much more possession and shots off target. They had put in a lot of pressure, but were unlucky after various attempts. Taking their points tally to 10 points, after three wins, a draw and one loss.While Southampton stays on 4 points, after four draws and one loss.
Norwich City played out a 1:3 to Watford, as they lost to their opponent on their home soil. Goals from Emmanuel Dennis and a brace from Ismailia Sarr, were enough to cancel out Teemu Pukki 1:1 equalizer. Making them the only team in the EPL without a point, as they have lost all five games in the Premier League. This put Watford on 6 points as they have won two, and lost three.
Aston Villa thrashed out Everton 3:0 in an astonishing clash, to gain a valid three points taking them to 10th on the EPL table with 7 points, after two wins, one draw and two losses. While Everton who surprisingly were on an unbeaten run, with three wins and a draw now has a loss courtesy of Aston Villa. Leaving them on 10 points.
Sunday match day 5 kick started with Brighton wining Leicester City 2:1. Even though Jaime Vardy was on the score sheet, and maintained an impressive Individual performance for his club, they still remained on six points, after two wins and three losses. While Brighton maintained an electric start to the Premier League start as the only have one loss compared to their four wins In the EPL leaving them on 4th position with 12 points.
Man United enjoyed a victory against West Ham with C. Ronaldo also on the score sheet, to continue his impressive stats in the EPL. A late Jesse Lingard goal, ensured Man United won the game thanks to a penalty save from De Gea to make sure Westham couldn’t salvage a draw. Leaving Man Utd on 13 points, after 4 wins and a draw. While West Ham, stays on 8 points with two wins, two draws and a loss.
Chelsea wrapped up the weekend games, with an emphatic victory against Tottenham. The game ended 0:3 in favor of Chelsea who played really well. With goals from T. Silva, N. Kante and A. Rudiger, Chelsea made sure their premier league campaign maintained an impressive stats. Leaving them on 1st position, with joint points with Liverpool, and Man United on 13. While Tottenham, now has three wins and two draws, leaving them at 7th on the table, with nine points. We anticipate the 25th of September, as mouthwatering clashes and fixtures are scheduled to keep us entertained.
