French Victory in Russia 2018?
Will the French reclaim former glory and steal the trophy in 2018?

With the next World Cup coming up just next year, it is time to look at one of the major contenders for the trophy.
France has been a dominant side in international football for ages, their most successful World Cup performance being in 1998 taking home the silverware that year. France has had a staggering track record since, their most recent World Cup performance being in 2014 where they were knocked out by Germany 2-0 in the quarter finals of the knockout stage.
This coming year the French squad is looking its very best in some time, and especially with the young guns they have in their arsenal.
Let us take a look at the players I predict to be most influential.
In Attack:
Alexandre Lacazette

French International Friendly
Laca is widely considered as one of the best strikers in today's game. His pace combined with his knack for goal makes him one of the most deadly players who will be participating in Russia next summer.
Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe patiently waiting.
This young Frenchman is another player with limitless potential at the spring age of just 18, another pacey, deadly player that will be very useful for France in Russia. His link up play with Laca and Martial is the stuff of dreams. Go on Kylian!
Anthony Martial

Martial dribbling at Euro 2016
Martial is one of the quickest players on planet Earth. The way the ball seems to glue to his feet and his vast arsenal of skill combined with his clinical finishes make him one of France's finest weapons, if he plays. Supported by the likes of Paul Pogba, and also his fellow forwards Laca and Mbappe, makes him an even deadlier player.
Antoine Griezmann

Griezmann celebrating, as per usual.
France wouldn't be France without this man. Such a versatile and creative player combined with his speed and dominant finishing ability. An absolute monster of a player even considering his small frame. He is a perfect model of a World Class striker and is almost a guaranteed weapon for France in 2018.
Paul Pogba

The stallion Paul Pogba getting fired up along with his fellow teammates.
One of the World's best players at the young age of 24, Paul Pogba is dominant physically, technically, and also has a unique finishing ability for a mid-fielder. He will 100 percent be one of France's best options for success in next year's World Cup.
Ousmane Dembele

Dembele is a happy, happy man.
Yet another dominant French attacker. I almost feel repetitive in saying here is another prolific, pacey, chance creating, finishing genius. And not to mention just 20 years old!
Blaise Matuidi

Blaise, confident as always.
Blaise "the Bus" Matuidi is a wall of a mid-fielder. His defensive abilities linked with his experience of the game are a must if France are to keep away opposing strike forces from the likes of Germany, Brazil, Belgium, and Spain.
Samuel Umtiti

Umtiti shutting down Thomas Muller.
Umtiti is a dominant central defender being 6'0", 165. He is physically strong with a great defensive mindset for such a young defender. He will have to work well with Matuidi and his partnering defenders in order to stop France from conceding goals.
Hugo Lloris

Lloris with a smile.
THIS MAN... He is a massive man at 6'2" 175lbs. Between the sticks he rivals the likes of David De Gea and Manuel Neuer, and will be just as likely to be saving shots on goal. He is yet another French wall (Monty Python level stuff). Look out attackers, you will have a tough time beating this man when paired with the players aforementioned.
Concluding
The French National team has a great chance in being contenders in Russia next year. Dominant from the defense all the way to their ranks of deadly attackers up front. With so many great players how can this French side be denied?
Bon chance, France!
