When we start expecting, the burden grows,

The weight of expectations, heavier than it shows.

The path to fulfill them, a steep uphill climb,

Each step I take feels like running out of time.

The world may accept, or it may turn away,

But its endless demands never seem to sway.

You're judged by your actions, your words, your drive,

Yet in the end, it's expectations that survive.

So look within, let your heart be your guide,

Transform yourself, with no need to hide.

For the weight of the world can crush or inspire,

But it's your own light that will set you on fire.

Show kindness to those who struggle and bleed,

For in their silence, it's compassion they need.

Lift them up, as you carry your load,

And lighten the journey on this winding road.

The weight of expectations may never depart,

But you hold the strength deep within your heart.

In life, we all carry the weight of expectations, whether it's from family, friends, society, or even the ones we impose on ourselves. These expectations often feel like a heavy load, shaping our decisions and pulling us in directions we may not choose on our own.

The pressure to succeed, to meet certain standards, or to conform to others' ideals can sometimes take a toll on our mental and emotional well-being. But amidst this, there's a truth we often overlook: we have the power to look within and transform ourselves on our own terms.

It's easy to get lost in the world's demands, but by choosing compassion and empathy - first for ourselves and then for others - we can lighten not only our own burden but also those around us. Sometimes, it's the quiet acts of kindness that relieve the pressure, allowing us to lift each other up and find meaning beyond external expectations.

Ultimately, we need to strike a balance: between striving for success and staying true to who we are. By recognizing that the world will always expect, but that doesn't mean we need to conform, we can find the strength to carry on and create our own path - one step at a time.
