On a cold winter evening around the year 1854, in the small town of Milan, Ohio, USA, a touching story of filial piety and creativity unfolded. In a cozy little house, where the crackling sound of the fireplace filled the air, young Thomas Edison, then only 7 years old, sat anxiously beside his mother, Nancy Edison, a strong and gentle woman.

Nancy had been unwell for several days, and her condition was worsening. The local doctor was called in, and after examining her, he concluded that Thomas's mother needed immediate surgery. However, the small house lacked proper medical facilities, and the light from the oil lamps was insufficient for a complex operation.

With his inherent intelligence and creativity, Thomas couldn't sit idly by and watch his mother suffer. The young boy began to think, and suddenly, an idea flashed in his mind. He ran around the house, gathering every mirror he could find. The mirrors were carefully placed around his mother's bed, reflecting the light from the single oil lamp, creating a brighter area around the surgical site.

The doctor was astonished by the boy's ingenuity, but with no other option, he had to rely on that light to perform the surgery. Throughout the operation, Thomas never took his eyes off his mother, praying and hoping. Every detail in the room became clearer under the sparkling light from the mirrors - from the old wooden table, the simple medical tools, to the worried face of the doctor and the weary but loving look of Nancy.

After many tense hours, the surgery was successful. Thomas's mother gradually recovered in the following days, and her eyes always filled with pride whenever she looked at her son. Thomas had demonstrated that with creativity and love, even the greatest challenges could be overcome.

The story of Thomas Edison and his mother is not just a moving tale of filial piety and the intelligence of a young boy, but also a valuable lesson in creativity and family love. It was also the first step on Thomas Edison's journey to becoming a genius who later changed the world with his great inventions, especially the electric light bulb - a light that never goes out in the history of humanity.
