The Story of the Earth and the Sky
If we were to take a trip back to the Creation of the World, we would see that the Earth and sky were not divided as we know them to be today.
- The sky and earth were close companions, humble in their beauty, merged together. The Earth, adored in love, was wrapped by vibrant emerald forests, supple sapphire rivers, and lush valleys of golden earth, while Our Mother Sky was lovingly decorated by glowing diamonds of stars fused all together with waves of clouds. Combining their gifts brought forth a great multitude of life to exist between the two of them. There existed a great love between them, one that allowed them to help each other. Whenever the Earth faced any difficulties and dry was in need of relief, the sky gently kissed her with soft rain. In return, she showered with her sweet aroma, blooming fragrant flowers and ripe fruits. Their love made them inseparable.
However, over time, their love began to hinder all the creatures they bore, and the realities of the world began to change. The trees, for instance, all appreciated the vast embrace of the sky, but which unfortunately left them unable to fully expand as tall and sturdy oak trees, rather than having them barely able to touch above the clouds with their branches. Birds, who were intended to fly, had their wings placed on the boundaries of the sky. Rivers from beside the earth wishing to wander further out and which had a bigger space could only keep streaming in tiny bottlenecks.
The features of the human race intertwined while addressing the Sky and the Earth for the first time in the form of a request, “Kind Earth and kind Sky,” they started saying, “We appreciate your affection, but it has been extremely hard for us to be in such close proximity. In turn, we are unable to function. In turn, we request you to allow us some space.”The great aspects, the Earth and the Sky, felt troubled by the request. It never dawned upon them how interference by them could cause pain to the creatures that they had created.
But now they understood there was something to be done with the creations as they were loved by them. The commander turned to protect the sky, broken earth, and all artefacts spoken in unison, and she replied first, “My sun, I shall build up to you so that the height of your trees and the length of your river can have no other limits.”She looked away and responded, “And at the same time, I do not wish to retreat but rather remain strong to support life and aid growth on myself.”The Florida of Texas begins to set, and the sun’s output continues to rise. The first step they take on their journey causes floods, and as they dwindle together, they surge and tackle each other backward.
Anderson turns and raises her voice, “My staunch friend, get close!” and presses their warmest winds to her band one last time. The split was gradual, gentle, and systematic, but as they continued to distance themselves, something amazing took place: the trees that had once been stunted began reaching towards the sky—their limbs extended upward as if in thanks to the firmament. Birds began to fly, flying to greater heights and singing at the top of their lungs, with their voices echoing within the void between the sky and the Earth. The rivers were able to move freely, forming beautiful lifelines across the land. The creatures celebrated, for the equilibrium was gifted a new purpose; their world had changed. The sky, although still omnipresent, was dotted with stars that resembled a mother’s twinkly gaze.
The Earth, on the other hand, took root but felt the kisses of the sun as well as the droplets of the rain that made her breathe the presence of the sky.Despite the distance in space, love held them together. The Earth received hues from the mother Sky in the form of beautiful painted sunsets and sunrises, which Skybot promptly bestowed upon her. The Earth took things a step further and shared her love in the form of clouds that seamlessly floated within the sky.As summers passed, the Earth and the Sky began to develop alternate forms of communication. Thunderstorms replaced their disputes while lightning took the place of passionate whispering in their ears. Furthermore, as a result of being delicate and fleeting, rainbows became the symbols of their unbreakable bond and promises between them.
The Sky and Earth’s love for each other was so great that they sacrificed their togetherness and vowed to treasure every new life that they respectively cradled. The nurturing essence that always existed shattered the balance, and everything came pouring out from it. And so, here stands today the space that makes it possible.Be it the turmoil of the storms or the lightness of the breeze, every new day has something new to offer that transcends every single life into existence. The silence that embodies life speaks this love story through every new sunrise that appears. The Earth and Sky came to be the unheard protectors of life.Sometimes love requires distance, not to be torn apart but rather as a leased strength showcased by two entities.
The Sky and the Earth cherish the hope that exists even when two souls are distant, thus together creating an eternal beauty that remains. Whenever someone craves a story, a deep tale full of memories, Asia craves the tale of The Sky and The Earth, the tale where love, sacrifice, and never-ending compassion join hand in hand. Not only to this day, but the sands of time will forever serve as a reminder of the love of The Sky and The Earth. It was and very well remains the reality that this tale was meant to never cease to exist. Anything is only everlasting as long as love and compassion continue to reside in it, a testimony of what had once existed.
