The Star-Borrower
Light Lent Only to Those Who Protect It
By GoldenSpeechPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

Every generation, one child was chosen to “borrow” a star — a single speck of celestial light kept in a glass pendant. When a shy girl received the honor, others doubted she could protect such brilliance. But she wore it close, guarding it through storms, grief, and silence. One night, the pendant cracked. Panicked, she held it tightly, apologizing to the sky. Instead of fleeing upward, the star expanded, enveloping her village in soft light. It had not broken — it had grown. And for the first time, the villagers understood: brilliance does not belong to the strongest, but to the gentlest hands.
