The Shadow in the Mirror – Extended Version
The Shadow in the Mirror – Extended Version

Clara first noticed the shadow in her mirror as a faint flicker. At first, she ignored it, thinking it was a reflection of her own movement. But the shadow began moving independently: smiling when she cried, frowning when she laughed.
Terrified, Clara documented its behavior, noticing patterns: the shadow would appear only at night, always near objects linked to strong memories. She researched folklore and found references to “mirror selves”—parallel versions of a person trapped between dimensions.
As the shadow grew more aggressive, it started interacting with her environment: knocking over furniture, leaving notes, and even causing minor accidents. Clara realized it was trying to communicate something crucial. After a series of dangerous encounters, she discovered that the shadow represented the version of herself that made every choice differently—a self that had survived a life-threatening event she barely remembered.
The climax is a confrontation where Clara must confront the shadow in a mirror labyrinth, learning that embracing her fears and regrets could either merge the two selves into one or let the shadow consume her entirely.
