The Serpent’s Song: Jasmine and the City Beneath the Sands
Every wish demands something in return.

Ancient scrolls unearthed near the ruins of Agrabah tell of a queen who ruled a city built upon the skeleton of a sleeping serpent god. Her name was Yasmira al-Nazim, known to later poets as Jasmine.
She discovered that the serpent’s scales could grant wishes when ground into powder — but the magic came from feeding it. Each wish required a sacrifice. Each sacrifice made the city sink deeper.
When the sands finally swallowed her palace, witnesses said they heard hissing beneath the dunes for days. Explorers still find fragments of turquoise glass shaped like eyes.
Local legend says that when a sandstorm passes over the ruins, the air fills with whispers offering you one final wish.
But never say it aloud — unless you’re ready to take someone else’s place underground.
