The Sea That Kept Secrets
The ocean remembers what we try to forget.

For thirty years, Captain Rowan had sailed the same stretch of sea, ferrying travelers to distant islands. He’d seen storms, miracles, and things no man could explain — but one day, he saw a ship drifting aimlessly with torn sails and no crew.
When he boarded it, the air felt heavy, humming like a heartbeat. Every cabin contained journals filled with the same handwriting — his own. Each described journeys he didn’t remember taking.
He realized the ship was his — from another time.
The climax: As the fog thickened, he saw another vessel approaching: a mirror image of his own. On its deck stood a man who looked exactly like him, waving silently. Rowan turned to warn his crew — but the sea was empty again. Only the journals remained, still writing themselves.
