The River That Dreamed of the Sky
It longed to flow upward — and one day, it did.
By GoldenSpeechPublished 3 months ago • 1 min read

The river had always obeyed gravity — until it began dreaming. It watched the sky’s reflection every day, wanting to trade places.
One morning, a fisherman named Jalen noticed the river flowing slower, as if hesitating. He followed it upstream, where the water began to rise — not in waves, but in spirals of mist and starlight.
The river was lifting itself into the heavens, drop by drop, forming clouds that shimmered like silver fish.
When Jalen reached the source, he heard the river whisper,
“Dreams don’t flow down forever.”
The climax: He threw his net — not to catch fish, but to join it. The villagers say he became part of the sky. When it rains, they swear the drops sound like laughter.
