The Real Story Behind Sleeping Beauty
Way More Disturbing Than Disney Let On

You think Sleeping Beauty is a romantic fairy tale?
Think again.
Before Disney gave us the pastel castles and the singing fairies, there was Talia.
A real princess, written about in a 17th-century Italian tale called “Sun, Moon, and Talia.”
One day, a prophecy said that Talia would die from a splinter of flax.
Her father, terrified, banned all flax from the kingdom — but fate doesn’t take royal orders.
One day, she pricked her finger, fell unconscious… and never woke up.
Years passed.
Then a king, not a prince, found her sleeping body in an abandoned castle.
He didn’t wake her with a kiss — he… well… did something much worse.
When he left, Talia remained asleep.
Months later, she gave birth to twins while still unconscious.
One of the babies sucked the splinter from her finger — and that’s what finally woke her up.
Yep. Not true love’s kiss. A hungry baby.
The king returned, shocked she was alive — and married — and his jealous queen tried to kill Talia and the twins.
After a series of chaotic revenge plots involving boiling cauldrons and magic, Talia survived… and somehow ended up living happily ever after with the man who had caused it all.
Disney clearly skipped a few details.

I love the behind the scenes real story. Fairy tales usually have a dark side, and you have exposed it well! Good job. I definitely want to follow it.
