In an ancient library, books inhaled when opened and exhaled when closed. Each breath carried the emotion of the reader. A child filled them with wonder, a widow with sorrow, a scholar with curiosity. When a man who felt nothing opened one, the book remained still. Only when he allowed himself to cry for the first time in decades did the pages flutter to life, breathing deeply with him.
