THE KING OF KINGS PART 1

WHITE IS AT A CAFÉ WITH, ENGAGED IN CONVERSATION.

**AT THE COMPANY HEADQUARTERS:**

S: The project has granted us limitless capabilities. Our strength and skills have multiplied infinitely.

LIGHT: Yes, we need to explore what we can do.

A: Well, I’ll enjoy the fun; I have to go meet my wife, or she’ll kill me.

RED: That’s technically impossible.

BLUE: How are we supposed to distribute the nanites or the project?

LIGHT: We simply buy everyone. We can just purchase the leaders of every country or send RED.

**AT THE AIR FORCE BASE:**

A approaches a woman in a military jacket, embracing her from behind and kissing her cheek.

EMILY: You’re late again.

A: Yeah, I’m really sorry.

EMILY: I’m glad to hear that.

**BACK AT THE COMPANY HEADQUARTERS:**

S: Elenor, you’re free from now on. I’ve saved you. You’re going to live a full life.

ELENOR: Sir.

ELENOR: Yes, sir.

**AT NIGHT: IN BLACK'S TOWER, A PARTY IS UNDERWAY.**

BLUE: Why on earth is he throwing a party?

WHITE: I have no idea.

A: What’s he up to?

S IS ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE BAR NEAR THE BALCONY.

S: Everyone, let’s party! Drinks are on me! Eat, drink, and be merry!

RED: I love what he’s saying. But what happened to him?

S is utterly intoxicated, with RED and WHITE assisting him to walk.

RED: How can he be this wasted without even a drop of alcohol?

A: I really don’t want to know, but what’s gone wrong with him?

S collapses onto the street, laughing as a single tear rolls down his cheek.

S: I saved the one I loved.

**THE DAY OF THE HISTORICAL EVENT.**

S visits his friend’s memorial fountain, clutching the captain’s name tag.

S: I kept my promise. I fulfilled my promise.

S is about to discard the name tag but decides against it.

S: I suppose I’ll keep it.

**AT BLACK'S TOWER:**

SEN: The world leaders are causing a problem.

S: Just send RED. He’ll take care of it.

A hand suddenly hugs S from behind.

ELENOR: Guess who?

S: What the hell are you doing here? I fired you!

ELENOR: I don’t accept that because I’m free to do what I want since you love me.

S: What are you babbling about?

ELENOR kisses him.

ELENOR: I love you.

**AT A'S TOWER: A MESSENGER ARRIVES WITH NEWS.**

JACK: Sir, White has been attacked.

A: Don’t worry; White won’t die.

JACK: The woman with White was shot in the head and has now died.

A’s expression turns grave.

A: What did you just say? Get S and RED here immediately!

**TWO HOURS BEFORE THE EVENT**

WHITE IS WALKING DOWN A STREET WITH REN. REN IS BRIGHTLY SMILING AND TURNS AROUND.

REN: I love yo—

A SHOT FROM A RIFLE WHIZZES PAST REN'S HEAD.

WHITE STANDS IN SHOCK AS HE APPROACHES REN’S LIFELESS BODY AND CRADles HER. WHITE GOES ON A RAMPAGE, CHANNELING HIS POWER AS THE KING OF THE WHITE MOON, AS HEAVY RAIN BEGINS TO POUR.

RED INTERVENES.

RED: WHITE, stop! I don’t want to hurt you.

WHITE ATTACKS WITH SUCH SPEED THAT IT CREATES CRACKS IN REALITY.

REDD UNWILLINGLY ENGAGES HIS POWER, THE MOST FORMIDABLE POWER IN EXISTENCE — THE KING OF THE RED NIGHT. RED DRENCHES HIS BLADE IN BLOOD, STRIKING WHITE, WHO IS THROWN THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY IN AN INSTANT; THE WORLD TURNS RED. WHITE SWINGS HIS KATANA AT RED, who manages to catch it with his bare hands, but WHITE SLASHES THE CRIMSON BLADE, TRANSFORMING THE ENVIRONMENT INTO A WHITE AND BLOOD RED LANDSCAPE. WHITE VANISHES IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE.

WHITE APPEARS AT AN OCEAN PORT. S ARRIVES.

WHITE: Remember when you said you couldn’t swim? I promised I’d always pull you through. I’m sorry.

S AND WHITE ENGAGE IN FIGHTING; S’S BLADE IS CUT IN HALF. BLACK STABS WHITE IN THE HEART AS TEARS STREAM DOWN WHITE’S FACE.

WHITE: Thank you, my only friend.

WHITE’S BODY DISINTEGRATES INTO ASHES AND FLOWS THROUGH S’S BODY. THE WHITE KATANA REMAINS STEADFAST.

RED, LIGHT, BLUE, AND A ARRIVE.

S EMERGES FROM THE PORT, HOLDING WHITE'S BLADE.

LIGHT: Where's White?

S OPENS HIS HAND AND LETS THE ASHES FALL.

S GOES TO WHITE'S HOUSE, TAKES A DRINK FOR THE FIRST TIME, AND SITS ON THE OPEN BALCONY WATCHING THE SUNSET. TEARS STREAM DOWN HIS FACE, MIXING WITH BLOOD. ELENOR, RED, AND A JOIN HIM; ELENOR AND RED SIT NEXT TO HIM WHILE A STANDS WATCHING. S RESTS HIS HEAD ON ELENOR’S SHOULDER AND CONTINUES TO CRY, WITH RED AND A SILENTLY OBSERVING. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HIS AGONY.

**MAY 18TH, 100 A.W.E.**

**THE DAY AFTER THE EVENT.**

AT WHITE'S FUNERAL, HIS WILL IS READ, STATING THAT ALL HIS ASSETS WILL GO TO CHARITY AND HIS COMPANY SHARES TO S. THIS LEAVES S WITH A TOTAL OF 40% OF THE COMPANY. WHITE ALSO LEAVES A LETTER FOR S. HOWEVER, S TAKES THE LETTER, RETURNS HOME AND STARTS DRINKING; RED FOLLOWS. RED SEES THAT S HAS BURNED THE LETTER.

RED: You’ve never drank before.

S: I never needed anything to forget. But now, it doesn’t matter. I can’t get drunk because of the project.

S LAUGHS AS TEARS OVERFLOW FROM HIS EYES.

**IN THE COMPANY’S CONFERENCE ROOM: BLUE ENTERS ONLY TO FIND S HAS SLAUGHTERED ALL THE WORLD LEADERS.**

BLUE: Why did you kill them?

S: They were in the way. Now we’ve given everyone the project and saved everyone.

**AT THE COMPANY'S TOWER:**

RED: You’re going too far.

A: I agree, please take some time off.

S: I’m completely fine. If anything, I finally understand who I am. I’m the king of kings. I’ve worn a mask trying to hide from this reality, but I realize now that no matter how hard I try, I will always be a monster.

LIGHT: You need to stop, or else?

S: Or what?

BLUE: We’ll kill you.

S: Hahaha. If you try to kill me, make sure you don’t miss, or I’ll take you down as well.

**AT A'S HOUSE AT 5 PM: LIGHT ENTERS TO FIND EMILY, A'S WIFE.**

EMILY: Who are you?

LIGHT USES HIS POWER. THE SKY LIGHTS UP WITH CONSTELLATIONS CONNECTED THROUGH LUMINOUS ENERGY; EVEN THE KING OF KINGS' POWER CAN BE UTILIZED BY LIGHT. LIGHT STRIKES EMILY DOWN.

**AT S'S TOWER: BLUE HAS ELIMINATED EVERYONE THERE, INCLUDING SEN. EVERYONE WHO KNEW S'S NAME HAS BEEN KILLED. EVERYONE S HAD EVER SAVED IS NOW GONE. BLUE ENGAGES ELENOR OUTSIDE THE TOWER AND STABS HER THROUGH THE HEART. RED ARRIVES BUT IS TOO LATE.**

A RETURNS HOME TO FIND EMILY IN CRITICAL CONDITION.

EMILY: I’m sorry to ask, but I don’t want to die like this. So please, end it for me.

A CRIES.

EMILY: Thank you and goodbye.

A KILLS EMILY.

RED ARRIVES TO FIND S HOLDING ELENOR’S CORPSE, AND RED SCREAMS IN FURY.

S HEADS TO THE SEAPORT TO CONFRONT BLUE.

S: Tell me you didn’t do it. Please tell me you didn’t.

BLUE: I did.

S AND BLUE ENGAGE IN A BATTLE, MOVING WITH SUCH SPEED THAT IT CRACKS REALITY. BLUE USES HIS POWER, OUTPACING ANYONE. BLUE DISARMS S AND SLASHES HIS EYES, BUT S’S EYES TURN WHITE AS HE FIGHTS WITH WHITE'S KATANA. S IS CLOSE TO DEFEATING BLUE, BUT CHOOSES TO LET HIM LIVE AND TURNS AWAY. BLUE STABS HIM IN the back, prompting S to turn.

S: I’ve settled my debt of friendship.

S FALLS INTO THE SEA. AS HIS BODY DESCENDS DEEPER, FLASHES OF HIS LIFE FLOOD HIS MIND. ASHES EMERGE FROM S’S BODY AND REFORM HIS PHYSICAL FORM. A VOICE WHISPERS IN HIS HEAD.

WHITE: I kept my promise.

S EMERGES FROM THE SEA AND SEES A WAITING FOR HIM.

A CALLS OUT TO LIGHT.

A: Light, why did you do this?

LIGHT: He was losing his mind. If left unchecked, he could have caused devastation. But I’m surprised you’re still alive. You’ve shown more strength and power than I anticipated, earning my respect. Now RED will hunt me and BLUE to the ends of the earth to avenge his closest friend. So long.

A: Don’t worry about him; there’s someone else you should be concerned about.
