For one glorious moment, Chris Reynolds was the richest man in history.
In July 2013, Pennsylvania resident Chris Reynolds opened his PayPal app and nearly fainted.
His account showed a balance of $92,233,720,368,547,800 — ninety-two quadrillion dollars.
That’s more than all the money on Earth.
He had officially out-earned Jeff Bezos, Musk, and every government combined.
Minutes later, the number disappeared — PayPal admitted it was a “technical glitch.”
They didn’t even offer him a free credit.
When reporters asked what he’d have done with the money, Chris said:
“First? Pay off my car. Then maybe buy PayPal.”
