The Girl Who Wrote Names on Candles
Every flame lit a soul — every wick took one.

In a ruined cathedral, a girl named Edda made candles for the dead. For each one, she carved a name, lit it, and whispered:
“Find your way back.”
But she grew lonely. One night, she wrote her own name. The candle burned brighter than all the rest — and when she woke, the others were gone. Every soul she’d guided had taken a piece of her with them.
Now, travelers say the cathedral glows faintly from afar, lit by thousands of candles — and if you whisper your name at the door, you’ll hear her whisper it back.
