The Frog Queen of New Orleans: Tiana’s Curse

She didn’t just kiss the frog — she became one.

By GoldenSpeechPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

In 1910, the disappearance of a young restaurateur named Tiana Delacroix shocked New Orleans. She was last seen near the bayou, carrying a strange brass amulet shaped like a lily. Local voodoo practitioners warned her not to disturb the swamp.

When the amulet was found years later, it was covered in moss and scales. Nearby, her restaurant remained untouched — except for the walls, where hundreds of tiny frog-shaped handprints were pressed into the wood, each one smaller than the last.

Tourists claim the swamp sings at night — a woman’s voice crooning jazz through the mist. The locals call her La Reine des Grenouilles. The Queen of Frogs.
