The City That Slept Beneath the Sea
They said the tides erased it — but every full moon, the streets rise again.

Off the coast of Thessalon, fishermen whisper about a city visible only at night. Beneath the waves, lanterns glow as if the streets are still alive. Divers have brought back coins dated to no known kingdom, etched with one strange phrase: We Still Breathe Below.
Legend says the city drowned itself. When its rulers refused to share fresh water during a drought, the ocean took vengeance, swallowing the marble towers in a single night. But not everyone died — some learned to breathe salt.
Centuries later, sonar scans revealed rhythmic echoes — too regular to be natural, like an entire population still walking beneath the sea. Scientists call it seismic activity. Sailors call it the heartbeat of the drowned.
